Skudai assemblyman Marina Ibrahim has announced that she will not contest in the coming Johor state election and is stepping away from active politics, ending her four-year tenure.

Marina said the decision was made after discussions with supporters, opting to return to the community-based work that has always been her passion.

00:32said she entered politics with a simple goal, to serve the people. Reflecting on her time in office,
00:39Marina expressed gratitude to her supporters, volunteers and voters, while also apologising
00:45for any shortcomings during her tenure. She stressed that stepping away from politics does not mean the
00:51end of her service, pledging to continue contributing to the community in whatever capacity she can.
00:57Marina also said she will continue carrying out her responsibilities on the ground
01:02until a new Assemblyman is appointed.
