00:06In the incredible footage below Catalin reaches a height of 5 metres on his prototype cover board
00:11covering a distance of over twice that of two full-sized football pitches
00:14before jet lagging in the exquisite waters of Lake Bluereau in Quebec, Canada.
00:19He claims that the machine, which he built and designed over the course of 12 months,
00:23can be used anywhere and can reach scary heights which he would like to potentially explore in the near future.
00:29Catalin had to achieve a distance of more than 50 metres to set a Guinness World Record's title,
00:34but smashed this by travelling over five times the required target.
00:38Straight from something out of the future, Canadian inventor Catalin Alexander Uderis
00:42propeller-based hoverboard managed to travel a total distance of 275.9 metres 905 feet 2 inch
00:49to achieve a new Guinness World Record's title for farthest flight by hoverboard.
00:54Speaking of his record-breaking achievement, he said,
00:58I wanted to showcase that a stable flight can be achieved on a hoverboard
01:01and a human could stand in control with their feet.
