00:00And now, a message from one of the lead members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
00:07Good evening. I'm Dr. Anthony Fauci.
00:11First, I'd like to thank all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring, and sometimes graphic
00:18emails.
00:20Now, there's been a lot of misinformation out there about the virus.
00:24And yes, the president has taken some liberties with our guidelines.
00:28So tonight, I would like to explain what the president was trying to say.
00:33And remember, let's all keep an open mind.
00:36We had a great meeting today with a lot of the great companies, and they're going to have vaccines, I
00:41think, relatively soon.
00:43Relatively soon is an interesting phrase.
00:46Relative to the entire history of Earth, sure, the vaccine's going to come real fast.
00:52But if you were to tell a friend, I'll be over relatively soon,
00:56and then showed up a year and a half later, well, your friend may be relatively pissed off.
01:02We have done an incredible job.
01:04We're going to continue.
01:06It's going to disappear.
01:08One day, it's like a miracle.
01:09It will disappear.
01:10A miracle would be great.
01:11Who doesn't love miracles?
01:12But miracles shouldn't be plan A.
01:15Even Sully tried to land at the airport first.
01:18Anybody that needs a test gets a test.
01:21They're there.
01:21They have the test.
01:22And the tests are beautiful.
01:24Okay.
01:25A couple of things.
01:26I don't know if I would describe the test as beautiful.
01:30Unless your idea of beauty is having a cotton swab tickle your brain.
01:35Also, when he said everyone can get a test, what he meant was almost no one.
01:42You can call it a germ, you can call it a flu, you can call it a virus, you know,
01:46you can call it many different names.
01:47I'm not sure anybody even knows what it is.
01:51We know what it is.
01:53And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute.
01:58And is there a way we can do something like that by injection?
02:06Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light.
02:14I know I shouldn't be touching my face, but.
02:18Now, there is a rumor that the president is going to fire me.
02:22Let's see what he said about that.
02:24Today I walk in, I hear I'm going to fire him.
02:26I'm not firing him.
02:26I think he's a wonderful guy.
02:27So, yeah, I'm getting fired.
02:30But until then, I'm going to be there putting out the facts for whoever's listening.
02:35And when I hear things like the virus can be cured if everyone takes the Tide Pod challenge, I'll be
02:40there to say, please don't.
02:44And to the real Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time.
02:51And thank you to the medical workers, first responders, and their families for being on the front line.
02:56And now, live, kinda, from all across America, it's Saturday night.
03:02We'll be right back.
03:04We'll be right back.
03:05We'll be right back.
03:08We'll be right back.
03:10We'll be right back.
03:12We'll be right back.
03:12We'll be right back.
03:12Grazie a tutti.
