00:00The lineup for the Freedom 250 Concert Series celebrating America's 250th anniversary continues
00:05to shrink as more artists pull out of the event.
00:08We've got more on the growing backlash surrounding the Freedom 250 Festival in today's Page Six
00:13headlines.
00:14Several musicians have backed out of the Trump-affiliated Freedom 250 Presents, the Great American
00:18State Fair, a free 16-day festival set for the National Mall in Washington, D.C., from
00:24June 25 through July 10.
00:26Martina McBride announced she was dropping out after claiming she was initially told
00:30the event would be nonpartisan and focused on celebrating all 50 states, but later felt
00:35it became something more divisive.
00:37Bret Michaels also exited the lineup, saying the festival had evolved into something different
00:41from the patriotic music celebration he originally agreed to support, while also citing safety
00:46concerns after threats were made against him and his team.
00:50Young MC said artists were never informed about political involvement tied to the event.
00:54While more is day and the time, and the Commodores also confirmed they would no longer perform.
00:59Meanwhile, acts including Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, and C&C Music Factory are still expected
01:04to appear, with some performers defending their decision to stay on the lineup despite backlash
01:09from fans.
01:10And as the concert controversy continues to grow, organizers are still moving forward with the
01:15patriotic festival, planned for America's milestone birthday celebration.
01:19Next, Dennis Quaid is trying to officially end his child support payments to ex-wife Kimberly
01:24Buffington for their 18-year-old twins.
01:26The actor filed court documents in Los Angeles requesting to terminate the $13,750 monthly
01:32payments tied to their children, Thomas and Zoe, after both recently graduated high school.
01:38According to the filing, Quaid cited terms from the couple's 2018 divorce agreement, stating
01:42support would end once the twins completed 12th grade.
01:45He also requested that any additional yearly payment, tied to earnings above $1.3 million,
01:51be prorated, based on the twins' graduation dates rather than his full annual income.
01:56Quaid and Buffington finalized their divorce in 2018 after years of on-and-off split filings,
02:01and they agreed to joint legal and physical custody of the twins, who were born via surrogate
02:06in 2007.
02:07The actor previously attempted to lower his support payments in 2020, before later agreeing
02:12to continue paying based on the children's reasonable needs.
02:15Quaid has since remarried and recently described his relationship with wife Laura Savoy as the
02:20closest relationship he's ever had.
02:22Finally, another one of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children is taking legal steps to drop
02:28Pitt's last name.
02:29Their son Maddox filed court documents requesting to legally change his name from Maddox Siobhan
02:34Jolie-Pitt to Maddox Siobhan Jolie, listing the reason simply as personal.
02:39The filing comes after Maddox had already informally stopped using Pitt's surname in
02:44credits for Angelina Jolie's recent film, Couture, where he was listed as Maddox Jolie.
02:49His younger sister Shiloh also legally dropped Pitt from her last name shortly after turning
02:5318 last year, a move that sources previously said deeply affected the actor.
02:58Reports have also described Pitt's relationships with several of his children as strained, while
03:02some of the siblings have publicly stopped using his surname at graduations, playbills and
03:07other events.
03:08The latest filing arrives amid Pitt and Jolie's ongoing legal tensions, even after their divorce
03:13settlement was finalized in late 2024.
03:15Pitt has continued dating Enos de Ramon, while Jolie remains focused on her film projects and
03:20family.
