00:35It's really incredible because I've been tripping over some of these pieces for 30 years in my garage and in
00:40my attic.
00:40And I've never really seen them up on a pedestal or on a wall with beautiful lighting.
00:45And so it gives a whole new perspective to it and an appreciation.
00:50It's making me want to set up a different lighting scenario back in my studio at home.

01:09I usually work with found objects, side of the road, rubbish bins.
01:14It's taking something that's thrown away or about to be thrown away and try to bring new life into it
01:19and make it beautiful.

01:34A tree in my backyard in Nashville died and all the leaves fell off and I decided to paint it
01:38red and make a sculpture out of it, sort of a living sculpture.

01:41But then it slowly died again and started to collapse.
01:44The moisture was trapped under the paint and some lids started to fall off.
01:48And I think it was Connor Hurst who recommended, why don't we recreate that tree out of resin.
01:53So I was very excited about this idea.
