00:57And frankly, when I say this is not great.
01:01When you're suing for you can't use SGA's name, image, or likeness without his permission.
01:08And I get it.
01:11It just makes SGA look awful.
01:14I don't know how else to frame it.
01:15The likability here when it comes to the Thunder and when it comes to SGA and being a free throw
01:23merchant.
01:23And that was one thing.
01:25The flopping's out of control.
01:27I mean, the fact that this play right here, and I feel like I've seen this video a million times.
01:31But that is the perfect snapshot of what are we even doing here, right?
01:36Even go back to the ESPYs last year when the hilarious Shane Gillis said, you know, SGA is here.
01:42Everyone claps.
01:42That means everyone around him is in foul trouble.
01:44I mean, it's funny because it's true.
01:47And we're at a stage right now where the likability of SGA, the likability of the Thunder, the flopping problem
01:57is not good for the NBA.
02:00And I constantly on this show, we've had, you know, all sorts of takes on Shine Time that have gone
02:06viral in a positive way in terms of how much I appreciate SGA and love SGA.
02:12And when they go to the finals, if they perhaps win it, you know, our takes are going to be
02:17just absolutely off the charts with respect for Shane Gillis Alexander and the Thunder and what they have accomplished.
02:24But it's the nonsense and it's just the cartoonish nature when it comes to the drawing, the free throw, and
02:33obviously, you know, the low field goal percentage and the flopping that's just driving everybody nuts here.
02:40Look, the play has been terrific when it matters the most, and we picked OKC to win the other night
02:47in game number five.
02:48And the first quarter was bad, quarter two, three, and four was outstanding, right?
02:51Let's give credit where credit is due, right?
02:54I mean, that was absolutely awesome when you look at it and SGA was not going to be denied and
03:00the role players stepped up and that was phenomenal and that was terrific.
03:04And I think tonight the Spurs are going to win the game.
03:08I firmly believe that, but it's the conversation here about the flopping and the nonsense that honestly, it just, it
03:17distracts.
03:18And I think that Adam Silver's done an unbelievable job addressing tanking, a phenomenal job.
03:26And the lottery changes, it needed to happen.
03:28They need to really do a deep dive when it comes to addressing flopping in the offseason because when this
03:35is a topic for conversation, when SGA feels compelled to sue, and I would have never done this during the
03:41playoffs because it adds to the, ah, bad look quotient for SGA and OKC, something needs to be done because
03:49it's just not the right visual for the NBA.
03:53Thunder can close it out tonight in the Western Conference Finals, but not if the Spurs bigs have anything to
03:59say about it.
