00:00Governor, the Trump administration is talking more and more about potentially calling Customs and Border Patrol from airports and sanctuary
00:08cities.
00:09LAX, SFO, potentially SMF would be impacted.
00:14Apparently this morning the DHS secretary said that this is something they're looking at doing.
00:18No formal proposal yet, but this year, if this has been accomplished.
00:22Look, I mean, there's no rules anymore with the Trump administration.
00:26And, you know, and we have to be prepared for everything.
00:28And again, we talk about California, the future happens here first.
00:32You know, it tends to, as it relates to Trump, trying to exercise this sort of unitary theory of government.
00:40And had not been for the courts and the court of public opinion, he would have gone a lot farther
00:47than he has.
00:47And so we'll continue to anticipate that he's going to test the boundaries of that kind of authority.
00:53He's got a lot of authority as President of the United States as it relates to those federal resources.
00:57And we're mindful that even under sanctuary policy of those rules and regulations that are uniquely federal in the context
01:06of not getting in the way of federal operations with federal funds based on federal rules and federal regulations.
01:12At the same time, you know, we draw the line and have drawn up plenty of documents to litigate on
01:19a lot of these issues.
01:20So we'll see what ultimately transpires.
