00:00Just a few minutes ago, my office filed a lawsuit against the National Rifle Association to dissolve the organization in
00:09its entirety for years of self-dealing and illegal conduct that violate New York's charities law and undermine its own
00:20mission.
00:21The NRA's influence has been so powerful that the organization went unchecked for decades, while top executives funneled millions into
00:32their own pockets.
00:35For years, the NRA diverted millions and millions of dollars away from its charitable mission for personal use by senior
00:47leadership to award contracts to the financial gain of close associates and family.
00:55And appeared to dole out lucrative no-show contracts to former employees in order to buy their silence and continued
01:05loyalty.
01:07These individuals in the NRA are charged with failing to manage the NRA's funds and failing to follow numerous state
01:16and federal laws, which contributed to the loss of more than $64 million in just three years.
01:27I just heard about that. That's a very terrible thing that just happened.
01:33And I think the NRA should move to Texas and lead a very good and beautiful life.
01:40And I've told them that for a long time. I think they should move to Texas.
01:45Texas would be a great place or to another state of their choosing.
