00:00And we found that there was no mortality benefit in the patients receiving hydroxychloroquine compared to the control arm.
00:11So the UK's recovery trial and the solidarity trial, if you really put them together, the large number of patients
00:18where there is no benefit.
00:19And so it was decided that there was no point in continuing.
00:23It's what we call futility. When you are convinced that there is no benefit, then you do not keep on
00:30continuing.
00:30That's one of the principles of clinical trials.
00:33All viruses mutate all the time.
00:39Luckily, this virus seems to be mutating less than the influenza virus, much, much less.
00:44And so and it yet hasn't shown any mutations in the key areas which are either linked to severity of
00:54disease or linked to the immune response.
00:58So far, most of the vaccines are targeting the spike protein or the so the so that's the key part
01:05of the virus that we are watching.
01:08We don't know if it will mutate and our vaccine development program will then have to adapt itself.
