Guess it's supposed to be dark romance but man the abuse poor Lin suffered. 😭😭😭 I needed more grovel from Torren and wanted him to hurt and suffered more!
The two boys grew up together and are in love. But the dark-haired boy's (Torren) Uncle Enzo wants power and creates a lie that Torren's family was locked in a building and burned alive by the blond-haired boy's (Lin) father. Enzo, twists Torren's grief at losing his family in that fire to make him hate the boy that he loves. And so, on the day the boys are supposed to marry, the retribution begins where Lin is taken kidnapped and tortured by Torren.
The story continues with the push and pull between the psychotic, twisted hatred that the uncle has created in Torren versus the love that Torren still feels for Lin. A doctor named Lucien shows up, a friend to the family of Lin (Blonde guy) who is also in love with Lin. That complicates the love/hate pyscho drama. in the end, Torren learns that his Uncle Enzo has lied. Enzo actually ordered the killing of Torren's family and pitted that hatred toward Lin.
I hope that helps you get it. It's a really complex, interesting story. If you've ever loved someone in a crazy, F-ed up way, you would understand. Enjoy!
At first I thought I was having a stroke. It’s like they’re speaking simlish at parts, plus it speeds up at points too which makes it even worse, not to mention all the characters switching back and fourth between an American and British accent.
