00:10Now it is true and has been acknowledged that I don't have a similar biography to defense
00:14secretaries of the last 30 years. But as President Trump also told me, we've repeatedly placed
00:21people atop the Pentagon with supposedly the right credentials, whether they are retired
00:26generals, academics, or defense contractor executives. And where has it gotten us? He
00:33believes, and I humbly agree, that it's time to give someone with dust on his boots the helm.
00:39A change agent. Someone with no vested interest in certain companies or specific programs or
00:45approved narratives. My only special interest is the warfighter. Deterring wars and if called upon
00:55winning wars by ensuring our warriors never enter a fair fight. We let them win, and we bring them
01:02home. Like many of my generation, I've been there. I've led troops in combat. I've been on patrol for
01:09days. I've pulled the trigger downrange, heard bullets whizzed by, flex cuffed insurgents, called
01:16in close air support, led medevacs, dodged IEDs, pulled out dead bodies, and knelt before a battlefield
01:24cross. This is not academic for me. This is my life. I led then, and I will lead now.
01:36So we have to talk about Pete Hegseth, because obviously he had, you know, his confirmation
01:42hearing, and it went just the way you would probably expect. But before we get into that,
01:50before we can even get into the embarrassment that the Democrats put on display, because they
01:57absolutely got embarrassed. For example, Pete Hegseth's chances of getting confirmed shot up to
02:0690%. Yeah, 90% on the betting market. So yeah, I think that tells you everything you need to know
02:13about how it went. But before we get into that, of course you had Democrats in there trying to protest.
02:19So, check that out.
02:21And readiness.
02:43You may continue, sir.
02:46Returning the Pentagon back to warfighting. That's it. That's my job.
02:52Mr. Hegseth, suspend your remarks. Let me just say this. The Capitol Police are going to remove
03:01immediately individuals that are disrupting the hearing. I see a pattern attempted to
03:11be inflicted on the committee, and we're simply not going to tolerate that.
03:17You may proceed.
03:20To bring back warfighting, if confirmed, I'm going to work with President Trump and this committee
03:26to, one, restore the warrior ethos to the Pentagon and throughout our fighting force. In doing so,
03:33we will reestablish trust in our military. Addressing the recruiting crisis, the retention crisis,
03:39and readiness crisis in our ranks.
03:45Members of the security force will remove members.
03:56Yeah. Ridiculous, right? Absolutely ridiculous. But that's Democrats for you. So, not very shocked
04:03about that. But now, let's get into the Democrats and their questioning, line of questioning, because
04:11a lot of it was just absolutely ridiculous. With that being said, check it out.
04:16You're quite sure that every general who serves should not go directly into the defense industry
04:24for 10 years? You're not willing to make that same pledge?
04:28I'm not a general, Senator.
04:32You'll be the one, let us just be clear, in charge of the generals? So, you're saying,
04:39sauce for the goose, but certainly not sauce for the gander?
04:43I would want to see what the policy of the president is.
04:45Oh, I'll bet you would.
04:46Thank you, Senator Warren. Senator Tuberville.
04:49Thank you, Mr. Chairman, and thanks for your hard work and your committee's hard work.
04:53Mr. Chairman, this has gone well. I'd like to submit this letter,
05:00topic conduct at Vets for Freedom, for Hexeth. I'd like to submit that for the record, please.
05:06Without objection.
05:07General Hexeth, I mean, Mr. Hexeth, thanks for being here today and with your family.
05:16I know this is tough. That's what it's all about, though. You're a tough guy.
05:21Yes. Would you use our military to take over Greenland or an ally of Denmark?
05:32Senator, one of the things that President Trump is so good at is never strategically tipping his hand.
05:37And so, I would never, in this public forum, give one way or another direct what orders the president would
05:42give me in any context.
05:43That sounds to me that you would contemplate carrying out such an order to basically invade Greenland
05:49and take over the Panama Canal.
05:51Is, would you use our military to take over Greenland?
05:57Have you led an audit of any organization? Yes or no?
06:00I don't want a long answer. Yes or no. Have you led an audit of any organization of which you
06:05were in charge?
06:05Senator, in both of the organizations I ran, we were always completely fiscally responsible.
06:10Yes or no, did you lead an audit?
06:12And the way my leadership has been stated has been completely mischaracterized.
06:15What are you afraid of? You can't answer this question.
06:18Yes or no, did you lead an audit? Do you not know this answer?
06:21Senator, every part of my leadership of these organizations has been misrepresented from top to bottom.
06:25I will take that as a no. What were the findings?
06:28Though there were no findings, because you've never led an audit.
06:30What guidance did you give the auditors? None, because you've never led an audit.
06:34Nobody expects you to be an accountant, Mr. Hexeth.
06:37What we expect is for you to understand the complexity of this Pentagon budget process that is absolutely necessary to
06:44outfit our warfighters.
06:45So you got to hear some of the Democrats' ignorant questions, right?
06:50It went so terribly, so terribly that CNN had a few segments on it.
06:58And here is one segment where Scott Jennings had something to say, and I actually completely agree.
07:05Check it out.
07:06Well, in short, I think Pete Hexeth kicked their asses today.
07:09I mean, it wasn't even close.
07:10They didn't lay a glove on Hexeth.
07:12No mistakes.
07:13Calm, cool, collected.
07:15I mean, before the thing even started, you had this, like, code pink, you know, protester freak show trying to
07:21disrupt the hearing.
07:21That's a Democratic base, by the way, which probably explains why the Democrats on the committee acted in such a
07:27bizarre and unprofessional way.
07:29I was appalled at some of the way these senators handled themselves and some of the lines of questioning.
07:34I mean, Tim Kaine sounded like a sex pervert in his questioning of Pete Hexeth.
07:39Blumenthal, who lied about his service in Vietnam, questioning Hexeth's qualifications.
07:44You had Gillibrand.
07:46You had Warren.
07:47You had Hirono going on unhinged rants about things.
07:50Angus King obviously doesn't understand what it's like to fight terrorism.
07:53On and on and on.
07:55Hexeth was cool in the face of this unhinged questioning.
07:58They made him look good today.
07:59It would be difficult for a Republican to vote against Hexeth after the Democrats' unseemly mudslinging today.
08:07I completely agree.
08:09And I agree with that statement from the beginning, right?
08:12We sent a clear message, a clear message that we believe in Trump and we want Trump's agenda.
08:19And if you stand in the way of that, you will be voted out.
08:24You will be voted out 100%.
08:26And, you know, along with, obviously, what Scott Jennings had to say, CNN, which I'm sure they absolutely hated.
08:34And you can kind of tell that they didn't really want to report on this by what this guy says
08:40here.
08:41Because, obviously, you got to mudsling first before you state the good news about Pete Hexeth.
08:48And that's what you'll hear.
08:49A little mudslinging first before you state the good news, which they never do with Democrats, by the way.
08:56But check it out.
08:58I asked Senator John Thune, who's the Republican leader, the majority leader, decides to schedule the United States Senate.
09:04I asked him about Hexeth's nomination.
09:06Thune has not said a ton about this nomination.
09:08I said he does have any concerns about these allegations of sexual assault that Hexeth has denied but came up
09:14in today's hearing about these allegations of misconduct and the like.
09:18And he indicated he does not.
09:20According to Thune, he said that Hexeth acquitted himself extremely well and that he plans to move very quickly on
09:27this nomination.
09:28And it is moving quickly.
09:29We expect the Senate Armed Services Committee to have a vote as soon as Monday, Inauguration Day.
09:34That is according to the chairman of the committee, Roger Wicker, who told me that he believes that he'll get
09:38the support of all Republicans and be able to push this through.
09:43He will get the support of all Republicans.
09:47Yeah.
09:49Including someone that was allegedly still kind of on the fence in regards to Pete Hexeth.
09:59Hexeth.
09:59Goodness gracious, I can't talk.
10:01And that is Joni Ernst.
10:03But she recently came out and said that she was going to support Pete Hexeth.
10:08And I would tell her, great decision.
10:13Because you would have been voted out if you didn't.
10:15So to have someone that is willing to cut through that and get back to where we're focusing on readiness
10:25for our men and women, because, you know, Simon, that's an important part for me, is that we recognize that
10:32women do have an important role in our military.
10:36And so he was adequately able to answer all of my questions.
10:41He pointed out the woke issues at the Pentagon.
10:45And I think we're at a point where now we can start moving forward.
10:50People know where he stands on these issues.
10:54Yep.
10:54So I felt it was a good hearing.
10:56I thought it was a good hearing for him.
10:58Does he have your vote?
11:00I am breaking news, Simon.
11:02I figured you would ask this.
11:05So, yes, I will be supporting President Trump's pick for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hexeth.
11:15That didn't sound too, too promising, because it seems like she might be holding out on some others.
11:20And we shall see, Joni Ernst.
11:22We are watching.
11:23We are watching.
11:24That is not a physical threat, but it is a threat to vote you out, which we will do.
11:29We will not forget.
11:30We are not playing games anymore.
11:32But to put the icing on the cake, Senator Mark Wayne Mullen, I mean, set them ablaze, not literally, okay,
11:43but set them ablaze, absolutely called out the Democrat senators' hypocrisy.
11:49Because, of course, one of the main narratives when it comes to Pete Hexeth is this alleged drinking problem, right?
11:57And Mark Wayne Mullen calls out senators because he says that, and I'm not going to go into all of
12:05it because he says more than this, but a part of what he says is, how many times have Democrats
12:10watched other senators, right?
12:14How many times have all senators seen senators come in to the chamber drunk?
12:20And have they asked them to leave or quit their job?
12:25And it's absolutely hilarious that he calls all of these folks out for being alcoholics when they're trying to accuse
12:32Pete Hexeth of being an alcoholic.
12:34Check it out.
12:34And when we start talking about qualifications for if you're qualified for it, could the chairman tell me what the
12:41qualifications are for the secretary of defense?
12:45Mr. Chairman, could you tell me what the qualifications are for the secretary of defense?
12:51I'd be happy for you to do that.
12:55Let me read it for you.
12:56I was getting some advice from my second in command.
13:01Yeah, but I'm just making a point because there's a lot about qualifications.
13:04I think it's so hypocritical of senators, especially on the other side of the aisle, be talking about his qualifications,
13:10not be able to lead the secretary or be the secretary of defense.
13:15And yet your qualifications aren't any better.
13:19You guys aren't any more qualified to be the senator than I'm qualified to be the senator, except we're lucky
13:23enough to be here.
13:24But let me read you what the qualifications of the secretary of defense is, because I googled it and I
13:29googled it and went through a lot of different sites.
13:30And really, it's hard to see, but in general, the U.S. secretary of defense position is filled by a
13:35civilian.
13:37That's it.
13:39If you have served in the U.S. Army forces and have been in the service for you have to
13:45be retired for at least seven years and Congress can can weigh that.
13:49And then there's questions that my that the that the senator from from Massachusetts brought up about serving on a
13:58on a board inside the military industry.
14:02And yet your own secretary that you all voted for, Secretary of Austin, we had to vote on a waiver
14:08because he stepped out the board of Raytheon.
14:11But I guess that's OK, because that's a Democrat secretary of defense.
14:17But we so quickly forget about that.
14:19And then Senator Cain, or I guess I better use the senator from Virginia, starts bringing up the fact that
14:25what if you showed up drunk to your job?
14:28How many senators have showed up drunk to vote at night?
14:34Have any of you guys asked them to step down and resign for their job?
14:38And don't tell me you haven't seen it because I know you have.
14:41And then how many senators do you know have got a divorce before cheating on their wives?
14:46Did you ask them to step down?
14:49No.
14:51But it's for show.
14:52You guys make sure you make a big show and point out the hypocrisy because the man's made a mistake.
14:59And you want to sit there and say that he's not qualified?
15:02Give me a joke.
15:03Look, it is so ridiculous that you guys hold yourself at this higher standard and you forget you've got a
15:08big plank in your eye.
15:10We've all made mistakes.
15:12I've made mistakes.
15:13And Jennifer, thank you for loving him through that mistake.
15:16Because the only reason why I'm here and not in prison is because my wife loved me too.
15:25I have changed, but I'm not perfect.
15:28But I found somebody that thought I was perfect.
15:31And for whatever reason, you love Pete, and I don't know why.
15:36But just like our Lord and Savior forgave me, my wife said to forgive me more than once too.
15:42And I'm sure you've had to forgive him too.
15:44And so thank you.
15:48Yeah, so shout out to Mark Wayne Mullen, man.
15:52Absolutely put the cherry on top of this absolutely ridiculous clown show that the Democrats wanted to put on.
16:02Absolute clown show.
16:03Absolute clown show.
16:04But once again, it has backfired on the Democrats tremendously to the point where it is expected that Pete Hegseth
16:13is 100% going to get confirmed.
16:16Like, it's not even in doubt anymore.
16:19Not even in doubt.
16:21So congratulations, Democrats.
16:23Once again, you have played yourself.
16:26All right?
16:26These shenanigans, the fake acting, right?
16:30And actually, I made a video on that just the other day.
16:32If you haven't watched it, go and check it out.
16:35I think it's titled, They're All Paid Actors or something like that.
16:38I think that's what I titled it.
16:40Which the Democrats are.
16:41That's all that they do.
16:43It's theatrics.
16:45Dramatizations.
16:46Oh my goodness.
16:49You're a drinker.
16:50How dare you?
16:52Even though you watched your colleagues on a nightly basis sometimes come in sloshed.
17:00Sloshed.
17:01Even one of the senators, one of the Democrat senators, I can't think of her name.
17:04Let me, let me bring her back up.
17:05Oh, Mazi, Mazi Hirano.
17:08I mean, when you listen to her speak, I mean, it kind of sounded like she was slurring just a
17:13little bit.
17:14Maybe, maybe that's just the way she talks.
17:15But she was slurring a little bit there on her words.
17:19You know, I don't know.
17:21I'm not accusing her of anything.
17:23But, you know, I'm not saying that she was completely sober.
17:27I mean, there's a possibility that she had a few little, you know, early mimosas or something.
17:34I don't know.
17:36But, yeah, I love that he called out their, Mark Wayne Mullen called out their hypocrisy.
17:42Absolutely beautiful.
17:42But, yeah, man, let me know what y'all think.
17:46Thanks for tuning in.
17:46As always, peace and love.
17:49I'm out.
