00:21Iran just released footage claiming to show something the U.S. does not want the world to see.
00:27An American drone shot out of the sky, and an F-35 stealth fighter, one of the most advanced jets
00:35on the planet, allegedly tracked, locked on, and forced to flee, caught on camera, or so Iran claims.
00:44Here's what the IRGC announced on May 26.
00:47Their air defenses shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone after it allegedly entered Iranian airspace near the
00:55Strait of Hormuz, close to Keshem Island.
00:58They also claimed to have tracked and fired upon a U.S. F-35, forcing it to retreat from southern
01:05Iranian airspace.
01:07And separately, they say they engaged an RQ-4 Global Hawk surveillance drone as well.
01:13Iranian state media released footage purporting to show radar screens tracking incoming aircraft, missile engagements in real time, and debris,
01:23wreckage they claim is what's left of the downed Reaper.
01:26Iran's framing? Simple. This is retaliation, payback for what they're calling U.S. ceasefire violations, specifically American strikes on Iranian
01:37missile sites and mine-laying boats near Bandar Abbas.
01:41Now, here's where it gets complicated.
01:44The MQ-9 Reaper claim? Plausible.
01:47The U.S. has lost multiple Reapers during the 2026 Iran conflict.
01:52Dozens across combat operations and other causes.
01:55Iran and its proxies have been shooting them down throughout this conflict.
02:00A fresh loss here is entirely possible.
02:03But the F-35 claim? That's a much harder sell.
02:07The F-35 is one of the most advanced stealth aircraft ever built, designed specifically to avoid exactly this kind
02:15of detection.
02:16Iranian claims of successfully tracking and engaging an F-35 with missiles are not new.
02:23They make them regularly.
02:24And regularly, there's no corroboration.
02:27As of now, U.S. CENTCOM has not confirmed either incident.
02:31No acknowledgement of an F-35 encounter.
02:35No confirmed fresh Reaper loss specific to this date.
02:38And that footage?
02:40Iran has a well-documented history of releasing radar videos and wreckage images that mix real events with older incidents,
02:48timed perfectly for domestic audiences during escalation moments.
02:52But here's why this still matters, even if half of it is propaganda.
02:57The Strait of Hormuz is the single most important waterway in global energy markets.
03:03Roughly 20% of the world's oil passes through it.
03:07Tensions here aren't just military.
03:09They're economic shockwaves waiting to happen.
03:13Real or exaggerated, Iran's message is deliberate.
03:17The footage is out.
03:18The world is watching.
03:20And the Strait of Hormuz has never felt more like a powder keg.
