00:30C'est parti !
01:00Very bad performance to many enforcers and I didn't feel the greatest, I was trying to find a way, but
01:08it clearly didn't work.
01:12Yeah, I was wondering what sort of regrets you had today, if there were any specific games or specific points
01:19or shots that stood out and also what kind of advice were you getting from your coaching box?
01:26Was Stefano there today or did he leave in the middle? Is there some question as to what happened?
01:32I'm not surprised that these questions are coming from you.
01:36Yes, he was on the match and he left because he was feeling really bad for the past few days.
01:41So he told me that I might leave, I tried to stay, but he was not feeling great and it
01:49was not a surprise.
01:50We talked about it, so nothing from that side and they were just trying to tell me to raise my
01:57energy, try to push more with the legs since the ball is flying so much.
02:02Even on the simple balls which you feel like coming not so fast, the ball bounces so high that you
02:12need to really force the wrist, you need to play with the fast hands and today it was not enough
02:18from my side.
02:19So even when I was not really attacking the ball, I was trying to keep it in play, I had
02:24too many mistakes.
02:28Like you said, I think Yulia was hitting a lot of very high shots.
02:31They were probably out of your normal hitting range and that may be helped by the heat and just how
02:35high the ball is bouncing right now.
02:37I'm curious how much you think the heat affected you in this match, either just from conditions like the high
02:41bounce or also from physically just being out there for hours in the weather.
02:47Well, I won't say that physically I felt really bad, it was much as when I felt worse, but definitely
02:54the energy was not there and I just couldn't find the right balance on the ball.
03:04It was very slippery in some moments, I was just putting my legs, but it was everything out of rhythm.
03:11So yeah, it's tough to say.
03:15I think that on the practices it was not as bad and definitely when it's so hot, the ball is
03:22flying, it's very difficult to control and especially me being always aggressive, trying to play fast and step in.
03:29If you don't give enough spin or if your hands are not as fast, the ball is flying everywhere and
03:36yeah, in such condition you really need to be super patient, try to spin the ball as much as you
03:44can and yeah, definitely come to the net.
03:47But for me it was, as I said, too many mistakes that I can't even talk about coming to the
03:54net and all these things.
03:57Alina, is the heat the toughest kind of condition for you to play in?
04:02Would you say that and was that what bothered you the most today, the heat?
04:09I think I just answered on that.
04:11It was not really the heat, it's just how the ball was flying and how the weather affects the ball
04:21in these conditions.
04:22Since it's very light, it's very difficult to control it.
04:26And generally you handle heat well.
04:29Heat is not so much an issue for you.
04:31Well, I think everybody trying to somehow deal with the heat, but it's always different.
04:41It depends which country you are and so on.
04:44And I think it was not really the heat that really affected me physically.
04:56It was mostly that I couldn't find the balance, I couldn't find the right shot, and it was clearly just
05:01too many mistakes.
05:02Okay, guys, I can't believe it yet.
05:04Thank you.
05:04Thank you.
05:05Thank you.
