Israel launched one of its heaviest waves of strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon, targeting what it said were Hezbollah positions and infrastructure sites. Lebanese officials reported at least 11 people killed in the Bekaa Valley village of Mashghara, including two children, after homes were destroyed overnight. The escalation followed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s pledge to intensify military action against Hezbollah amid continued cross-border attacks. Residents in several areas fled in panic as explosions rocked towns and villages throughout the night. The renewed violence has raised fears that the fragile ceasefire between both sides could completely collapse.
