00:14Hasrul Nizam Abu Hassan, 38, entered the plea after the charge was read
00:20before Magistrate Muhammad Saiful Akmal Muhammad Razi.
00:25According to the charge, he is accused of causing the death of Azmi Ahmad, 42, through negligence
00:31by modifying and using a homemade helium gas cylinder that allegedly exploded.
00:37The offence was said to have been committed at about 7.53pm on May 21 at the Clock Tower Expo
00:45site on Jalan Ibrahim in Sungai Petani.
00:48Azmi, a beverage vendor, died from severe chest injuries sustained in the blast
00:53while three others were injured.
00:56The charge was framed under Section 304A of the Penal Code
01:00which provides for a maximum penalty of two years' imprisonment, a fine or both upon conviction.
01:06The court allowed bail of 5,000 ringgit with one surety
01:10and fixed June 23 for mention and document submission.
