00:00It was 1977, sitting in a dark theater, the music swells up, the letters come
00:06rolling out and you knew you were in for a ride. And then all the incredible
00:10characters, I mean being a sci-fi nerd, it was heaven. And also to have a story
00:15that spoke to me, yeah, the Force is my religion.
00:20I was in Santiago Dominican Republic as a little kid and I remember just the
00:24first time I saw Luke Skywalker and his little flyer, a little glider thing, which
00:30I had that toy afterwards and I still might be somewhere in my parents' house
00:34somewhere, so that was pretty cool.
00:35I was a prequels kid, so the first, I think my first memory of Star Wars really
00:43just blowing my mind was the Battle of Naboo. I just had never seen anything like
00:49it and it just fascinated me and then I went back and re-watched all the original
00:56Star Wars films and just grew so much appreciation, but that first battle, it blew my mind.
01:03I was an eight-year-old, nine-year-old boy standing in line with my mom and nowadays,
01:10especially she's passed, and so to have that memory, I was that kid standing in line, so
01:15I've been a fan since day one, so it's really a full circle moment for me as an actor and
01:20as a person.
01:20My earliest memory was in 1977, May 25th. I was there opening weekend in Westwood,
01:27California, and I hated everyone and everything at that time as an apathetic,
01:33angry teenager, and I sat in that movie and it changed my life. It truly gave me a
01:37new hope and that's what I'm hoping this movie does for the generation who's
01:41experiencing the Star Wars universe for their first time.
