00:03I have a jar right here.
00:06This is the current drinking water in Morgan County, Georgia.
00:12Right after a data center was constructed, the metadata center was constructed,
00:17the only difference between the clean water and this was that data center.
00:24I have another one as well.
00:27So this wasn't just one well.
00:28This wasn't just one family's situation.
00:34This is what the drinking water now looks like next to that data center.
00:38And I think both of us can agree that neither one of these things are drinkable.
00:44These families now have to ship, in a rural area, have to ship water to their house
00:49in order to cook and bathe themselves.
00:55Now, I'm curious if the EPA plans any investigations on how data centers are affecting water quality
01:01and availability.
01:02I understand what you said about the rule, but are there going to be any open investigations
01:06on this issue?
01:07So as soon as I get back to the office, I will be looking into exactly what you've just talked
01:12about because anywhere, whatever type of construction it is, it is a priority to ensure
01:18that water quality standards established by EPA are being met.
01:22And so we'll be looking into that certainly.
01:25Thank you.
01:25I sincerely appreciate that because I think this is of utmost importance and we're seeing
01:31this happening across the country.
