00:11Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Syahruddin Wan Ladin informed Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Noor Ruwena Mudnurdin on Monday that 25
00:20more witnesses are expected to testify in the case, including Tengku Zafrul.
00:25Muhyiddin's lawyer, Datuk Ameer Hamza Arshad, told the court that the defence has yet to receive Tengku Zafrul's witness statement.
00:34The prosecution said the statement would be handed over to the defence by June 20.
00:39Justice Noor Ruwena also instructed the prosecution to conclude the case by September 14, saying the trial should be prioritised
00:48as it is a high-profile case.
00:51Earlier, the court heard testimony from Companies Commission of Malaysia, or SSM Assistant Registrar, R. Harshini, who appeared as the
01:0110th prosecution witness.
01:02The 78-year-old Muhyiddin, who was then Prime Minister and Bersatu President, faces four charges of abusing his position
01:11to obtain bribes totalling R. 225.3 million, linked to the Jana Wibawa project between 2020 and 2021.
01:22He also faces three charges of receiving 200 million in proceeds from illegal activities deposited into Bersatu's bank accounts between
01:32February 2021 and July 2022.
01:35The trial resumes on July 6.
