00:00Is the leadership satisfied with how the impeachment process unfolded in the House, number one?
00:07And number two, speaking of the members of the Congress who were stripped off of their positions in key committees,
00:18bahagi ba ito ng sanctions ng liderato sa kanila for voting against the impeachment?
00:25Well, una, the leadership understands naman that this is a sacred duty that the House of Representatives has to perform.
00:34It's very clear naman doon eh.
00:36There's no degree of authority that you can actually use in order to block the progress of a constitutional directive
00:46given to the House of Representatives.
00:48That's very clear.
00:49Whether they're satisfied or not, again, the issue is whether the House of Representatives will stand by the Constitution
00:56or whether the House of Representatives give in to pressures.
01:01And what we have proven last week with 257 votes across the country, if you do mapping, even in Mindanao,
01:09there's a substantial number of district representatives who have voted in favor of the impeachment.
01:14It's not really satisfaction.
01:16It's how we fulfill our duty to the Constitution because this is no longer personality-based discussion.
01:24This is about the Constitution, should we speak?
01:25Now, on the second issue, the committee chairmanship, it's allocated to per party.
01:33Per party yan eh.
01:35So hindi naman pag nalagay ka dyan, it's forever ka na dyan.
01:37Kasi at any given time, membership can actually change in every committee.
01:44So yung mga changes, it happens regularly.
01:48It is not something that happens now.
01:50It happens regularly.
01:52Nagkaroon lang ata kasi ng issue ng impeachment.
01:54That's why many are trying to associate that changes in the committee chairmanship of the result that came out during
02:03the voting.
02:04So I guess it's more of a party decision because the party actually chooses among their party mates na naka
02:14-assigned sa isang committee na yon
02:16who will maintain and who will continue as chairman of the committee.
