The Plot:
Cairo Sweet (Jenna Ortega, Wednesday), a wealthy, brilliant, and deeply bored 18-year-old, lives an isolated life in a misty Tennessee mansion. When she enrolls in a creative writing class taught by Jonathan Miller (Emmy winner Martin Freeman, Sherlock), an intellectual spark instantly ignites between them. Miller, a failed novelist trapped in a stagnant marriage, is profoundly drawn to Cairo’s razor-sharp literary talent.
But when Miller assigns her to write a short story in the provocative style of Henry Miller, the boundaries of their teacher-student relationship begin to unravel. What starts as a complex psychological game quickly spirals out of control, threatening to destroy Miller's career, marriage, and sanity as a dangerous web of manipulation takes hold.
