Brazil had a comfortable 4-1 win over Chile in the last round. Denmark also had a big win over Nigeria by the same score.

00:00Brazil Unchanged is a night when the weather's good and a great Brazilian support might just appeal to them once
00:06more.
00:08Well, anyone who watched Denmark's demolition of Nigeria will know that if they produce that form again,
00:13Brazil will be stretched.
00:15The Laudrup brothers are the mainspring, Jorgensen is a bright new star on their right,
00:19Helweg will work like no other for 90 minutes in midfield, and behind them all, of course, is Schmeichel.
00:26The referee tonight comes from Egypt, it's Gamal Gangor, he's a 41-year-old customs officer.
00:35So who are the key men in your mind, Juan Atkinson?
00:38Brian, basically the people you've mentioned, of course, the Laudrup brothers, Thomas Helweg's a super midfield player,
00:43but that man's going to be the most important player in the Denmark side.
00:47If they're going to get through tonight, he has got to give one of his all-time performances.
00:51He's possibly the best in the world tonight, he's a great opportunity to show it.
00:55Because he's going to take a peppering from these boys, particularly this man, Ronaldo.
01:00Hasn't really come to his game in the tournament yet, but that means he owes his team one of his
01:05all-time performances,
01:06and I think he will produce one before the tournament's out, and tonight might be the night.
01:13Do you fancy Brazil a little bit? I know, as John Barnes was saying, if Brazil can hold the Laudrup
01:17brothers in particular.
01:19Yeah, you have to fancy Brazil, I mean, you look at them, I mean, I've talked to one or two
01:23good judges in the game today,
01:24who do have a strong fancy for Denmark, particularly haven't seen them play in the last game.
01:28But you look at these boys, you look at the substitutes they've got, and Denmark are going to have to
01:33produce a special performance to hold these.
01:36The question is, there's great solidarity there, as you can see from both sides.
01:42The last moments before the kick-off, where they're just geeing each other up.
01:46Great feeling of unity in both camps.
01:49Can Denmark possibly play as well, and as effectively against this Brazilian side, as they did against Nigeria?
01:56It's a brilliant passing, matched by their finishing, and a terrific start they had too.
02:02Well, if they can, we might be in for another memorable night here in this World Cup 98.
02:08Leonardo just keeping it in play, but no, he just failed to do so, he got it back to the
02:14giant Junior Baiano.
02:16But Heinz with the throw then for Denmark.
02:21Back he goes again to Hörg, and Peter Schmeichel gets his first, but by no means his last touch of
02:28the night.
02:32Heinz, very experienced left-back, who's been in the game a long time.
02:38Remember what a blistering start Denmark made.
02:41They made a terrific start against South Africa in one of their early games,
02:44and threatened to take them apart, but never actually got to it.
02:48But against Nigeria they did, with two goals in the opening ten minutes or so.
02:54Brazil might provide them with stiffer opposition in defence, but here's Dunga.
02:59So much of their good work comes through here.
03:01Cafu, we'll see so much of him down that right flank tonight.
03:05And just look at the left foot of Leonardo.
03:08Heinz cutting it out again.
03:11It's important that Denmark keep their composure.
03:13It's important, as Alan Nielsen was saying, that they impose themselves on Brazil.
03:17This is Muller, making a good run, and getting a free kick for Denmark, just outside the Brazilian penalty area.
03:25And they've taken it quickly.
03:27And it's Brian Laudrup now.
03:28And they're playing it.
03:29And they've scored!
03:31It's an amazing start there.
03:34And the number 21 has scored.
03:37Michael Jorgensen has put Denmark ahead, inside two minutes of the game.
03:45His first goal for his country, and all coming from a swiftly taken free kick.
03:51Laudrup brothers and Jorgensen combining.
03:54Sorry, Ron, taking it 1-0.
03:55Brilliant thinking, brilliant quick thinking.
03:58You have to say Brazil's court napping, but full marks to two very bright players.
04:03Little quick ball down the side.
04:04Brilliant cutback, and that's a super finish.
04:06Midfield player, Jorgensen, getting in the box, tucking away nicely.
04:101 minute 31 seconds.
04:13And now we'll see what Brazil can do now.
04:15And Dinoa, I think, had a big hand in that.
04:17Yeah, before the goal, Muller picked up the ball on the half-file and went very positively at the defence.
04:23And it's the foul on him that's led to that.
04:30Well, that's had the crowd here gasping.
04:34Well, we were just talking about what bright starts they make.
04:39This probably is the brightest of them all.
04:411 minute 31 seconds.
04:45Now Roberto Carlos.
04:50Cafu.
04:55What they look to me as if they're going to do, Denmark, even before they scored.
04:58As soon as the ball gets switched into a wide position, they shuffle over so quickly.
05:03They've got loads of players in midfield.
05:04They shuffle over so quickly onto the ball's side that they're going to try and make it hard.
05:09Let's see how it happens.
05:10For Cafu and Roberto Carlos to come out on it.
05:14See them, a load of red shirts there.
05:16If they switch it to the other side now, watch how they flood the other side with red shirts.
05:20It goes out to Roberto Carlos.
05:22Brazil will have to keep changing the picture, keep switching it from side to side.
05:25They're going to try it with Cafu again.
05:27And again, the red shirts come this side.
05:28But Cafu's got a bit of a lead on them this time.
05:32And Nielsen puts the ball into top.
05:39Leonardo.
05:40They were caught napping.
05:42There's no doubt about it with that quickly faking free-tick kick just here in front of us.
05:46I actually thought they got away slowly as well when Moller went across the front of Big Bajano with the
05:51ball.
05:52Big Junior Bajano.
05:53I thought the centre-half looked a little bit lethargic.
05:57Well, it's one of the sayings in football.
05:59Brazil's snooze and you lose.
06:01And they were clearly caught snoozing.
06:04It's a lovely saying that, but I've never heard that.
06:06It's one of Mr. Venables' actually.
06:09Snooze and you lose.
06:12Cafu.
06:13Trying to take Heinz.
06:16Brazil's throw.
06:18They're going to need the likes of Ronaldo now to show the form that he really hasn't shown yet.
06:24But they've got a corner, came off Heinze.
06:26And the big, number four, will be heading their way.
06:29Junior Bajano, six foot four of him.
06:33Andy Robson was saying to him the other day,
06:35Brazil, when they come, always bring a giant.
06:37Well, they brought Junior Bajano this time.
06:40There he is.
06:45But Denmark get it away as far as Roberto Carlos.
06:48Driven back, saved by Schmeichel.
06:53From Roberto Carlos.
06:58You can be sure of one thing.
06:59They'll have a lot of defending to do against a lot of skillful attacking from the Brazilians.
07:04With a lot of imagination.
07:06Dunga.
07:07But to Ronaldo, look, he's come deep to try and find it.
07:10Oh, and he's played an exquisite ball now to Pepeto.
07:14And that makes it 1-1.
07:16Little Pepeto.
07:20What an exquisite ball from Ronaldo, though.
07:23His first real effective touch of the whole night.
07:27And he puts Pepeto in the clear.
07:29And Tapparel's side is now at 1-1.
07:33Ron?
07:34I think we are in for a night.
07:36And if that's another taste of things to come, brilliant.
07:39I mean, some brilliant link-up play before the ball gets to Ronaldo, you know.
07:42And actually, Ronaldo, they reverses his pass.
07:45He's still got plenty to do, Pepeto.
07:47They're tracing him, they're trailing him.
07:48Keeps his calm.
07:49And he's tucked that away brilliantly.
07:51He's had to go past the giant frame of Schmeichel.
07:54And the only place he could put this,
07:57he's got people converging on him.
07:59But he has been a world player for some time, that kid.
08:01And he's done it brilliantly.
08:03Well, he's a player that a lot of Brazil didn't want in the side.
08:06They wanted Denilson.
08:07They wanted a 34-year-old out of it.
08:09And there's Pepeto's answer.
08:10But what a ball it was from Ronaldo.
08:13And wait a minute, there's going to be a card here.
08:18The last thing we want in a game like this is aggravation.
08:22Roberto Carlos being hauled back by the referee.
08:27And you can see Leonardo saying,
08:29don't get yourself involved.
08:30But he has got himself involved.
08:32And Roberto Carlos has got himself a yellow card.
08:43And there's the challenge.
08:46On the back of Brian Loudon.
08:47Oh, it's a bad challenge.
08:49No question about it.
08:50Bad, bad challenge.
08:55And Pepeto, not happy where the free kick was being taken from.
08:58Being able to push it back a yard or so.
09:02The referee from Egypt now agrees with him.
09:04But here are Denmark again.
09:08Big Muller's there.
09:09Reaper's lying very deep.
09:11And it's aimed there towards Mark Reaper.
09:13But Junior Piano is there with a massive leap of his own.
09:17Ronaldo taking it away.
09:18But the first touch was far too close to the Dane.
09:22Brazil's throw.
09:24Brian, I'll tell you something about the Brazilian goal as well.
09:26It was lovely.
09:27When Ronaldo received it, you know,
09:29Roberto Carlos was flying down the left-hand side.
09:32And I'm sure the Danish defence thought,
09:34this is going left.
09:35And he's reversed it back brilliantly through the middle.
09:40Yes, it was a great moment.
09:42Unless you're supporting Denmark.
09:50Leonardo.
09:56Now Drap.
09:58Getting it forward.
09:59Helvet.
09:59Stopped by Dunga.
10:00And now Ronaldo again.
10:02Oh.
10:03And he's getting Rivaldo in here.
10:05And it's a goal.
10:08And Rivaldo makes it 2-1 Brazil.
10:15Ronaldo, a big part in it again.
10:18Michael Payton for the second time.
10:20And Brazil are rampant.
10:22Here in Nantes tonight.
10:25Brian, Ronaldo, as you say, the provider, the assistant.
10:29But I'll tell you what.
10:30I mean, that's beautiful.
10:32It's a good run for him.
10:33He's measured his pass to perfection.
10:35I think he sent him...
10:36Oh, it's a lovely little standover to Michael.
10:39Whether the big man's got on the ground a bit early again.
10:41Whether he should have stood a little bit.
10:43I mean, he's a massive frame.
10:44And he's got a tight space to squeeze it through.
10:46And he may have just lent him it.
10:47But just prior to Ronaldo,
10:50Dungo goes and pressures people and wins it.
10:53And she's not going to be too happy, is she?
10:57That's a girlfriend, Susanna, of Ronaldo's.
11:02About to Carlos took a look in the face then.
11:07Yes.
11:12He went to pressurise them, Dungo.
11:14Just shot him there.
11:15I mean, full marks.
11:16Goal scorers deserve all the adulation.
11:18But sometimes, you know, there's unsung heroes.
11:23Michael.
11:24Starting to develop into quite a good little spell again for Denmark.
11:27You're starting to get a footing in the ground again.
11:29Jorgensen.
11:30And now Muller.
11:31He trod on it for a moment.
11:32And he called for a save.
11:34And Muller's furious with himself.
11:35You can see that.
11:37The better chance was a fraction before he was able to...
11:39Well, this is where the chance came.
11:41And he trod on it.
11:42Lost his balance for a moment.
11:43And then had to take a totally unacceptable angle.
11:47And it wasn't too difficult, really, for Taffarel.
11:50In actual fact, his recovery shot wasn't bad.
11:52But as you say, when he's played in,
11:53if he could just touch it out of his feet with his right foot,
11:56he's looking straight down the keeper.
11:57And you'd have to fancy him to score.
11:59But it has been...
12:00It has been a little bit...
12:01Whether that's...
12:02Whether it's that thing we've talked about with Brazil,
12:04where they step off the game a little bit.
12:07Maybe tempt people forward.
12:09Excellent.
12:10That's a good ball played by Michael Laud,
12:12but bringing Kolding into it now.
12:15So, a sudden Kolding.
12:16With a cross towards Riepul.
12:18Gone up, stayed up.
12:19And Pogli has won a corner.
12:25Denmark's fourth.
12:26Brazil have had just one.
12:28I see the chip in there for Nielsen.
12:32Danish fans in that corner
12:34thought they might get something in the penalty area
12:36when Nielsen went down,
12:37but the referee was close of hand.
12:40Had a good look at it.
12:41He certainly gave a free kick there for the challenge on Bebeto.
12:45But also he's blown the whistle for half-time.
12:47What a terrific first half.
12:49And what a great start with Jorgensen scoring in one minute.
12:52Thirty-one seconds for Denmark before Brazil hit back.
12:56Ronaldo made a goal for Bebeto,
12:58and then he made a goal for Rivaldo.
13:00And so at half-time,
13:02it's Brazil two, Denmark one.
13:06I wonder whether they might have taken the right back off at one stage
13:08and put Halweger across there to try and deal with the Carlos threat.
13:12But obviously Bo Johansson's fairly happy with his tactical system.
13:16Mark Rieper now heaving the ball forward.
13:19Denmark in the red shirts.
13:27I think Sig Stig Tufting signaled his intent already.
13:30Yes, Junior Bayonu.
13:33He's in trouble on the edge of his own penalty area.
13:35Was that a clash with Tufting?
13:37Certainly had a little rush at him.
13:41Overzealous might be the comment.
13:44He's a brave man taking on a fellow that size, I must say.
13:47Hitting from all the brilliance of the Brazilians.
13:51There's just still that one goal in it, remember.
13:54People like the man on the ball at the moment, Brian Laudrup.
13:57Around the place, anything might still happen.
14:00Tufting shot!
14:01He spent the whole of half-time hitting left-foot drives from that sort of range
14:06and threatening to take the goal out of its roots
14:09because he hit him with such force.
14:14Trying to get to Leonardo down the line.
14:17There was a bit of shoving there, actually, by Leonardo.
14:20Giving the free kick for Denmark.
14:22Taken quickly.
14:23Jorgensen.
14:25Kicked on again.
14:26And Brian Laudrup might have an opportunity here.
14:29Brian Laudrup makes it 2-2.
14:35A rare mistake in the Brazilian defence, a complete miskick.
14:39And Laudrup pounced on it.
14:41And Schmeichel's delighted.
14:42And we really have a terrific game on our hands now.
14:49Well, it gets a little bit of luck there when it's squeezed back out,
14:52but Roberto Carlos, I think, will regret that back overhead kick for the rest.
14:58Well, he's got himself in a right-handle.
15:01But that is a brilliant finish, one of the way.
15:04Once again, I'm not too sure whether Tafral's gone a little bit early on it,
15:07but he can't take anything away.
15:09A little bit similar to England the other night.
15:12But a good smash, and I'm perfectly happy with that now.
15:15Two each.
15:18Here come the Danes again.
15:21Heinzer.
15:23Michael Laudrup.
15:25Helweg.
15:29Roberto Carlos again, not quite getting the touch he wanted there.
15:34Holding at the front.
15:37Helweg.
15:41Holding now, playing it in to Michael Laudrup.
15:45Tafting is ready to take it as well.
15:48He's gone past Rivaldo.
15:50He's picked up Brian Laudrup.
15:55Laudrup leaving the ball behind.
15:57Dunga picking it up.
16:00And it's three successive touches, and Roberto Carlos has done nothing with any of them.
16:06He's made two goals for Brazil.
16:08He would love now to score one.
16:10Well, it's Michael Laudrup, flinging this long ball to Jorgensen.
16:17Supported here by Kolding.
16:21Well, that's a great effort.
16:24He's never scored for his country, and he suddenly thought the possibility opening up there.
16:30This is Ronaldo, surrounded by red shirts now.
16:34That's the sort of threat that he poses.
16:36The other thing, of course, when he gets in this position, he starts wriggling and rolling people.
16:40There's always the liability that someone might just trip it.
16:43Dunga.
16:44Rivaldo.
16:45Forward to Ronaldo.
16:47Dunga again.
16:52Roberto Carlos has gone into a forward position, but this is Rivaldo.
16:56And he might try something.
16:57Long range!
16:58Great goal!
17:023-2.
17:04Schmeichel beaten from something like 30 yards by Rivaldo.
17:09His second of the game.
17:11And Brazil's third.
17:15Well, certainly over 20 yards.
17:19Just inside the post.
17:21While he backed off and off and off the front.
17:23I know he can't always show that, but when Dunga was in possession, there was another brilliant run.
17:28You mentioned it, infield by Roberto Carlos.
17:30And that's taking the defence back.
17:33Carlos' run.
17:34Now, whether or not a keeper of that man's ability and stature should be beaten from that distance along the
17:40ground, I don't know.
17:41But that was a very, very good shot.
17:43But once again, the value of people moving off the ball.
17:47They have wonderful ways of sharing their own particular celebrations to the Brazilians, don't they?
17:52But Rivaldo there and Brazil get back into the lead at 3-2.
17:58But you sense this game is by no means over.
18:02Helweg.
18:04They will certainly look more and more to this man on the ball now, though.
18:07Brian Laudrup.
18:09Helweg playing it in towards Muller.
18:12It hit long towards Ronaldo.
18:15Reaper doing a calm job at the back.
18:19Sideways header for Colding.
18:20And here's Jorgensen.
18:22Oh, and he's gone in past Dunga this time.
18:24And he's played a lovely ball now for Brian Laudrup.
18:27Getting to the byline.
18:28Knocking it back again.
18:29And the ball has stayed in.
18:31No, it hasn't.
18:31The linesman's got his flag up before.
18:33Tofton could get in and do anything about it.
18:35But it was a great run.
18:37Yes, it was just there.
18:40Roberto Carlos.
18:42Rivaldo.
18:43Denilson's just inside him.
18:44Roberto Carlos.
18:45There are two of them flying down that left wing now.
18:47And three if you include Rivaldo.
18:49And he's going all the way.
18:51And Ronaldo's waiting in the middle for him.
18:53And Roberto Carlos.
18:54Oh, my goodness.
18:57He apologises to Leonardo,
18:59who was just priming his left foot for that cross.
19:04He's stumbled through a few of them here, Rivaldo.
19:06But he's an ungainly.
19:08He's an awkward looking character.
19:09But he can stick with the ball.
19:10Has a little look as a dead ball, right?
19:13Here they come again with Leonardo.
19:16With Ronaldo just ahead of him.
19:21Again, the Danes get it away.
19:23And this looks the period that turned the steam up again.
19:27Brian Laudrup.
19:30Yes, Kolding will pick it up.
19:32And he's got Jorgensen outside.
19:33I mean, he's played it there.
19:34Oh, it's too close for Tapparel.
19:37Sand was already making his run,
19:40but it wasn't nearly close enough.
19:42I think, Brian, when you're in that position,
19:44though, where Kolding was,
19:45I think you need two strikers ahead of you.
19:47One pulling to the ball,
19:48and the other moving defenders.
19:50When you look there,
19:51Sand was in the box,
19:52but there was a line of four yellow shirts as well.
19:56Aldair.
19:58Ronaldo would like to see him get a run of it,
20:00but he's being pursued here by Helwig.
20:06Leonardo.
20:08Dunga.
20:10Rivaldo.
20:11Roberto Carlos.
20:15Ronaldo's put his arm up in the box there.
20:18Once across.
20:20It's in Dunga's territory, though,
20:22and the stumble there,
20:23but he still gets it through to Daniilson.
20:25Daniilson looking for a yard, too.
20:27Ronaldo's there, too.
20:29And in the end,
20:30the Danes pulled everybody back,
20:31and it's Herc who got it clear to Tofting.
20:38Emerson's coming on for Brazil in a moment.
20:42But at the moment,
20:43the Danes are coming forward with Kolding.
20:46But then they lose it.
20:47Brian Laudrup,
20:48back heel, wins it back.
20:50Kolding again now to Jorgensen.
20:52Again, it comes off a Brazilian player.
20:54Again, the Danes pick it up again.
20:56Kolding.
20:56It's time to their captain,
20:58Michael Laudrup.
21:01It goes again to Tofting.
21:04Now, Heinz.
21:06Sand over on the far side.
21:09Ooh, he's played that too firmly,
21:10and of all things,
21:11into the path of Ronaldo.
21:15Free kick given to Brazil.
21:17The other way.
21:18This is some good work here by Jorgensen.
21:20Now, can he pull the cross in?
21:22He can't, because it's a corner, though, for Denmark.
21:27That's a good contest when they're both in Jorgensen's attacking.
21:35Jorgensen.
21:36Red shirts are waiting in there, but so too is Junior Bayanu.
21:40Knocked in again by Helvig.
21:43Ooh, and the possibility here.
21:45Oh, and just pushed wide by Big Sand.
21:51Helvig holds his head in his hands, but he did an awful lot of good work there.
21:56I'm just wondering whether he might have taken a gamble himself there,
21:59but as you say, it is a good pass.
22:00It's just slightly behind Sand,
22:02but I just wonder where the Helvig himself might have gambled.
22:06But that angle, so he might have done,
22:07but that was a bad corner there from Jorgensen.
22:11And that just flicked off the Dane.
22:14It'll be a throw to Brazil.
22:22Outside, the flag is up against Brian Loudrup.
22:30And the referee has given what here?
22:34A throw.
22:35Although the flag was up.
22:38Actually, the flag was up.
22:39It's up for outside.
22:40Yeah, for offside,
22:41and the referee's overruled his linesman.
22:43Now,
22:45can Mark Reaper and company do anything here?
22:48Perk is in there,
22:49but he wanted a better delivery than that.
22:51If you've got your big men up there,
22:52you've got to give them a chance to get in there.
22:53Here's Reaper with a header.
22:54And just over the top.
22:58Did he touch that one to the bar?
22:59Oh, Mark Reaper.
23:01Got a great header in there for Denmark.
23:03And one was saying he may have got a touch on that,
23:06but it's given a goal kick.
23:08No, he didn't get a touch to it,
23:09but it just bounced off the top of the bar.
23:11That's how close Denmark were to that equaliser.
23:15Now, Taperel will need to get this all in motion,
23:18because he knows if you waste time,
23:20you go in the book.
23:22And Taperel's with a mighty kick,
23:24well into the Danish half,
23:26towards Ronaldo.
23:28And the ball has just gone fractionally out of place,
23:31so it's a throw to Denmark.
23:35As you can see,
23:36we're in the last minute.
23:41And that wasn't the best of kicks by Schmeichel.
23:44And it was a lovely little ball by Ronaldo,
23:47by Denilsson, rather.
23:51Played it now for Roberto Carlos.
23:54Played it again.
23:55Tofting there with the header.
23:56Clear.
23:58Denmark come away again now.
24:01Jorgensen,
24:01down to Brian Laudrup.
24:03This is where the big money is now for Denmark.
24:05Can Laudrup do something to create this equalising goal?
24:09Great defending again,
24:11that time by Junior Bayanu.
24:12It's cost them a corner,
24:13but it could have been much more severe than that.
24:16They need a good delivery.
24:18Hold on, says Hogan.
24:19Schmeichel's gone right up into the attack as well.
24:22And Schmeichel's looking for the header.
24:24But in fact,
24:25now there's nobody in goal.
24:26What will the Brazilians do about this?
24:29Denilsson's forward.
24:30Get it forward.
24:31Schmeichel is still way, way back.
24:34And now he's making his way back towards the goal.
24:38And the ball's out of play.
24:40Brazil are quite happy to relax about it.
24:43Any chance of catching Schmeichel out is now gone.
24:48Zey Roberto,
24:49who've made that great break,
24:50and they play it back Dunga
24:52to their goalkeeper, Taffarel.
24:54Here's Aldair.
24:56Playing time at it on.
24:58By nearly a minute.
25:00That was a bad ball there by Aldair.
25:04But again, Brazil makes something of it.
25:06Then they give it away to Michael Laudrup.
25:08Dunga's getting stuck in there.
25:13Here's Kolding,
25:14as Denmark now try
25:15a last-ditch chance
25:17from this right-hand side.
25:18Up towards Rieper,
25:19who's gone up there
25:20and stayed up in a real battle of giants there.
25:25Denilsson.
25:25And he's got Ronaldo up ahead of him.
25:27And Ronaldo's gone streaking forward.
25:30Schmeichel's there first.
25:33Rieper's injured, I think.
25:38Tofting got there.
25:41Dunga played a careful ball
25:43with that right-hand side.
25:45Again, they play it long towards Ronaldo,
25:47but this time Kolding for Denmark.
25:51Laudrup.
25:54And an excellent challenge there
25:57by Roberto Carlos.
26:00But Denmark's still in possession.
26:01Two minutes of time added on
26:03have been played.
26:04Rieper with a head up.
26:05And Junior Baiano just bangs it
26:07way up into the night sky
26:09to get it away for Brazil.
26:11But only as far
26:12as Herc.
26:13And now for Heinz.
26:14And they've given it away again.
26:19Here's Ronaldo.
26:21And the break is on again for them.
26:24Great possibilities here for Brazil.
26:26Ronaldo's gone into the box.
26:27And Schmeichel
26:28banged that one from Tapu.
26:30Back out towards the touch.
26:33And Brazil will get a throw.
26:45And they get another throw.
26:53Tapu with it.
26:57Dunga.
26:58Knows he can play it safely back there.
27:00Junior Baiano's there.
27:02Plays it back safely to Alvair.
27:04The final whistle goes.
27:06And Brazil.
27:07They're into the semi-finals.
27:09They are the holders.
27:11And now they're just
27:12facing either Argentina or Holland
27:14with their eyes on another final.
27:16A terrific game here.
27:18They won by three goals to two.
27:20Two goals for Rivaldo.
27:21And one by the better
27:22that started it all
27:23with Jorgensen
27:25with a terrific start for Denmark.
27:28Rijn now dropped with the other goal
27:29that brought it back to 2-2.
27:31But in the end
27:31it was the skills
27:32and the organisation
27:34and the know-how of Brazil
27:36that just about held out for them.
27:41So a final score.
27:42Brazil three.
27:43Denmark two.
27:46That's the magic of the Brazilian football
27:50is still alive.
27:52Today they have to fight a lot
27:53and run.
27:54He did it all again before.
27:56Dunga.
27:56That was
27:56from Sidi Heinrich.
27:58Servus
27:59and auf Wiedersehen.
