00:00Let's get to the story in the NBA involving a head coach, Hall of Famer and legend Jason Kidd, who
00:06certainly I thought did his best job that he could with the Dallas Mavericks, giving everything that went on, ends
00:12up getting bought out by the new GM that comes in because essentially they want to bring in their own
00:16person.
00:17I feel like Dallas honestly may be headed toward a rebuild here, Carlin, and certainly looks that way to me.
00:21They'll have to trade Anthony Davis and try to find a way out of that. What did you make of
00:25this news? And do you think Kidd just sits on some money here for a couple of years?
00:29Or do you think he gets back into the NBA coaching ranks?
00:33Well, they got almost a Monopoly-style land-on-get-out-of-jail-free card with a bunch of money
00:39underneath that when they ended up with Cooper Flagg.
00:42You saw the rookie season that Cooper Flagg just had. Spectacular player. One thing with Masai Ujiri, he comes in
00:48and he comes in with a plan.
00:49We saw that with the Toronto Raptors. We saw that all the way going back to Denver. He's going to
00:53come in with a plan and he's going to execute that plan.
00:55And it felt like Jason Kidd just didn't fit the plan that Masai Ujiri saw and fought out.
01:00So if you're a Dallas Mavericks fan, you should feel, even though if you believed in Jason Kidd or didn't,
01:05you should very much feel like you're optimistic about what's to come.
01:08Because Masai Ujiri has a plan. He sticks to that plan. And that's all you can hope for when you
01:13are rooting for a team.
01:14Do we have a plan? Can we stick to it and see it out?
01:17And Masai Ujiri has done that and he has to ring the show for it.
