Transcript
00:05I need to give Bad Bunny a break. It's got to stop.
00:09I'm Jon Favreau.
00:11Sigourney Weaver.
00:12I'm Pedro Pascal, and we are doing the New Yorker mini interview.
00:20All right.
00:22This is a cartoon from the New Yorker.
00:25It's not strange at all.
00:26Lately, a lot of people are reporting that their faith in humanity is writing entirely on whether or not Pedro
00:32Pascal is as nice as he seems.
00:34Even more nice.
00:37Okay.
00:39I hope mine is just as nice as that.
00:42It was framed and given to me as a gift.
00:45Oh, that's so sweet.
00:46That's nice.
00:46By a dear friend.
00:47I'm just adding it to my list of pinch-me-please moments, so thank you for that, New Yorker.
00:55I actually pulled out two questions.
00:57Go for it.
00:57Go for it.
00:58Okay.
00:59What is another TV show that you would like to see adapted for the big screen?
01:03Game of Thrones?
01:04Game of Thrones?
01:06That's not been adapted for the big screen yet.
01:08That would be a great big screen experience.
01:10The embarrassing thing is that the first two that came to mind are television shows that were adapted by movies.
01:20It's like, I would like to see the movie version of Friday Night Light.
01:24I would like to see the movie version of Watchmen.
01:28You know.
01:28Yeah.
01:29So anyway.
01:29Sure.
01:30There you go.
01:31There's a lot of questions in that little bag.
01:33Alright, we'll go faster.
01:34The New Yorker famously loves facts.
01:37Share a little known fact about yourself or a cast member.
01:42I used to deliver pizza.
01:44There's a film.
01:45Sure.
01:45When I was in college.
01:48I liked watching the skill of the pie man.
01:51That's the whole thing.
01:52I actually got a job making pizza.
01:54Just learning from watching the pie man make pizza.
01:58I wish I knew some of the odd jobs that Pejo had before he was successful as an actor.
02:05They were all service jobs.
02:07From barista, got fired.
02:10Waiting tables, got fired.
02:12Bartending, got fired.
02:15Wow.
02:17Okay.
02:18The Star Wars universe is a beloved part of many people's childhoods.
02:22Share another one of your favorite childhood shows or movies.
02:26Oh, that's a good one.
02:28I used to watch all the Sid and Marty Croft kids programming with HR Puff and stuff and
02:34Lidsville and stuff.
02:35It hit me at an age where it made quite an impression because it was kind of psychedelic
02:40and strange and they would just park us in front of those TVs and watch it.
02:45My family moved to Orange County and there was a VHS rental video store.
02:53And I remember going every single day for I do not know how long to see if aliens was
03:02available.
03:03And it was always rented out to the point of torture.
03:07I would go and I would walk, you know, I don't know, a mile.
03:10And I would ride my bike, get there, whatever, every day.
03:13And it was rented out, rented out, rented out, rented out, rented out, rented out.
03:16And then boom, we had it.
03:21Ooh, another one.
03:22Okay.
03:23We have a visual here.
03:24Rank the creatures on this list starting from the cutest.
03:28We have Grogu, Punch the monkey, Pesto the penguin.
03:38Don't know that one.
03:39I'm afraid to say I don't know him either.
03:42I do know Mudang.
03:44Yeah.
03:45Zagorni, do you know Mudang?
03:46I don't.
03:48Mudang is a real ornery little hippo.
03:51These are all internet sensations.
03:53Oh, okay.
03:53These are real creatures.
03:55I'm assuming, I'm not sure about the penguin.
03:57That is either a large penguin.
03:59Pesto the penguin just by name alone is pretty adorable.
04:03I wonder who we choose.
04:06I think we got it.
04:07It's a tough one.
04:08Shall we say it together?
04:09Conflict of interest, yeah.
04:11Conflict of interest.
04:12Yeah.
04:12Grogu.
04:13Grogu it is.
04:15Okay.
04:16What song or album has been on repeat for you lately?
04:20Marcus Fall, Brazilian music from the 70s.
04:31I cannot, I need to give Bad Bunny a break.
04:34It's got to stop.
04:35I like having a story told to me.
04:37And a really good audio book with a really good narrator is just, I find really comforting.
04:41I've been listening lately to Cavalier and Clay.
04:44What's nice about getting older is things that you thought you knew, like things you read or watched,
04:49or movies you saw a long time ago, they're fresh for you again.
04:52So it's almost like experiencing it for the first time.
04:55Because you're kind of a different person than you were.
04:57Hey.
04:58Okay.
04:59What's a film that everyone should watch?
05:04Present Company excluded.
05:05Present Company excluded?
05:07Sullivan's Travels.
05:09Present Company excluded.
05:12But don't worry about what I did.
05:13In the summer, I think it was a movie.
05:15If you could play a movie with a movie where are my favorite, how many seconds do we have
05:17left?
05:19Um...
05:20Do the right thing.
05:21Spike Lee.
05:22The totes empty.
05:23The totes is totes empty.
05:26Ha ha ha!
05:28That's it.
05:29Uh, wait.
05:29Uh oh.
05:30No, it's the same question.
05:32I just put it back in the tote.
05:34Oh.
