00:13Santos hello studios how are you I come to you from Havana Cuba particularly
00:19from the anti-imperialist Caribbean here a demonstration took place just hours
00:25ago a demonstration that was summoned by the young generations of Cuba the youth
00:30organizations that have come out here in defense of the revolutionary process but particularly in
00:37defense of revolutionary leader Raul Castro who was the target of a latest series of accusations
00:44by the United States that is in the latest series of aggressions that have been mounting for the past
00:51month from the United States against Cuba let's recall the imposing of a total oil blockade in
00:57January that has deeply affected the livelihood of everyday life here in Cuba also increased sanctions
01:06of course all of this on top of the over six decade long blockade against the island and the latest
01:13of
01:13that series of attacks were the accusations that the Department of Justice of the United States
01:19presented against revolutionary leader Raul Castro over an incident in 1996 that Cuba has maintained for decades
01:26now that it was an act of sovereignty that these accusations have absolutely no legal grounds no legitimacy
01:33and that they are just another of a series of provocations that are targeting the island trying to
01:39threaten the entire population with the possibility of an imminent attack also we've seen an aircraft carrier that the U
01:47.S.
01:47has moved into the Caribbean area in the past hours all of this a series of provocations that Cuba has
01:54continued to resist and this demonstration was called precisely in defense of Cuba in their right to peace the
02:04right to defend their land their sovereignty and they not being able to be next in the list of countries
02:12that the U.S.
02:13have been targeting lately they do not want to be attacked as was Venezuela as was Iran and they are
02:20willing to defend their process defend their land and continue to say that Cuba is ready to defend itself
02:27but is a nation of peace that was the heart of the demonstration that happened here in Havana that
02:33we're seeing in the anti-imperialist Tribune again just meters away from the U.S. Embassy so a symbolic
02:40place to deliver this message that is what is happening here in Havana we will continue reporting of course
