00:01:05But maybe the biggest surprise was
00:01:06Detroit best team in the East
00:01:08all season.
00:01:09They win 60 games and they lose
00:01:10game one.
00:01:11What's the key for them in game
00:01:12two.
00:01:13Biggest thing is going to bounce
00:01:14back from Jalen Duren.
00:01:15He's too quiet in game one and
00:01:17you're talking about a guy who's
00:01:19going to remind people that they
00:01:20have two all-stars here in Detroit.
00:01:22Jalen Duren in game one just was
00:01:23not active enough.
00:01:24He did not get enough touches in the
00:01:26paint at no point in the game.
00:01:28Did he have rhythm or impose his
00:01:29physicality on the game?
00:01:31You see what he's capable of on the
00:01:33offensive glass and more importantly
00:01:35this the short rolls the dives into
00:01:37the paint.
00:01:38That's why the points in the paint
00:01:39number was so low.
00:01:40Jalen Duren you can see an anemic night
00:01:42really offensively by his standards.
00:01:45He has to have a big bounce back to get
00:01:47this series even.
00:01:48Meanwhile for their opponent the
00:01:49Orlando Magic they underachieved during
00:01:51the course of the regular season and
00:01:52there are a lot of reasons for that
00:01:54Richard but they certainly didn't
00:01:55underachieve in game one.
00:01:57Has a fire been lit under this team?
00:01:58Oh I think a fire has been lit under
00:02:01this Orlando Magic team.
00:02:02They say everyone has a game plan
00:02:04until you get punched in the mouth
00:02:06and that's what the Orlando Magic did
00:02:08to the Detroit Pistons in game one.
00:02:10Coming out aggressive.
00:02:12What was so impressive to me was how
00:02:14they did it led by Paolo Vancaro's 23 all
00:02:18five starters scored 16 or more points.
00:02:21It was a true balanced effort.
00:02:23Even more impressive all five starters
00:02:25had five or more assists.
00:02:28It was a true team win as we said
00:02:30and if your starters come out and put
00:02:32numbers like this up you're going to
00:02:34have a chance here in game two.
00:02:35One of the fascinating parts of the
00:02:37NBA playoffs is how does a team bounce
00:02:39back after a difficult loss.
00:02:41With more on that we check in for the
00:02:43first time with Lisa Salters.

00:02:46Well Kay Cunningham said that Sunday's
00:02:47game one loss was definitely a wake
00:02:49up call and he said the Pistons
00:02:51plan to respond.

00:02:57Orlando was fighting to get into the
00:02:59playoffs that may have given the
00:03:01Magic an extra level of intensity
00:03:02that Detroit just didn't match in game
00:03:05one.
00:03:05He said yes.
00:03:06Tonight will be about making the
00:03:08proper adjustments but more
00:03:09importantly he said it will be about
00:03:12coming out with the proper energy
00:03:13and maintaining that throughout the
00:03:15game.

00:03:18guys in the locker room has been
00:03:19there's no need to overreact but at
00:03:22the same time he said it's time to
00:03:24react.

00:04:29say competing on this stage can be
00:04:31difficult on their friendship but they
00:04:33also both take tremendous pride knowing
00:04:36that they are two of only 30 NBA head
00:04:39coaches and that they're both here
