00:00But the actual Division I, Division II, you're getting a scholarship.
00:04That's what you accept, and that's what you're going to do.
00:06You get your education, and you leave college at that point debt-free,
00:09which is awesome, fantastic.
00:11But then we start, oh, it's not fair to the kids.
00:14Fine with us as well.
00:14They're now going to start to get paid.
00:16But also understand this.
00:17You're going to have coaches that understand the task at hand.
00:20So let's go with a CFB Home tweet that was sent out yesterday.
00:23And this is from an On3 tweet here, which was, quote, tweeted,
00:26former pro guard R.J. Luis Jr. signed with LSU at Pete Nacos Reports.
00:32He was the 2025 Big East Player of the Year,
00:34then went pro and signed some contracts, and now is coming back to college.
00:38Why, you must ask, because there's loopholes, and the NCAA has no teeth.
00:42And Will Wade, who was on an FBI wiretap
00:45when you were not allowed to play players in college basketball,
00:48hooking his players up with the bag and was like,
00:51you know what, LSU, you can't fire him here.
00:53LSU essentially moved on from him.
00:54He goes to McNeese State, goes back to NC State,
00:57tells them to beat it after a year.
00:59And where does he go back to?
01:00LSU, the same school he was on a wiretap trying to pay players,
01:05which was illegal at the time.
01:07I love this.
01:08And I hope Will Wade gets all the heat on him,
01:10because what he's doing is showing us the bastardized system
01:13that's the NCAA right now.
01:15And I love it.
01:16You know what?
01:17Get 28, 29, 30-year-old players who played overseas for a decade here,
01:21bring them to college.
01:22Let's burn it all down to the ground until, Joe,
01:26we get some teeth in the NCAA.
01:29Donnie, don't hate the player.
01:33Hate the game.
01:34That's correct.
01:34It's not his fault.
01:36It is not his fault.
01:37It has been very clear for a while now
01:40that Will Wade intends to put together the closest thing
01:43to a professional basketball team in college basketball,
01:47and he's basically going to push the NCAA rules and process into a corner,
01:54and they're going to have a decision to make.
01:56It was only going to take one, Donnie, right?
01:58I mean, you saw Alabama, you know, kind of push it a little bit this year.
02:04You know, you saw Baylor push the envelope a little bit,
02:08but nobody is going to do it like Will Wade,
02:11because when it comes to saying,
02:12oh, I'm just playing by the rules, that you created the rules,
02:15I'm going to bring in a whole bunch of 25-year-old, 26-year-old,
02:20failed, you know, NBA professionals,
02:22and I'm going to put them on a college basketball team,
02:24and they're going to get millions.
02:26I'm telling you right now, if somebody had to do it,
02:28I'm just glad it's Will Wade,
02:30because nobody's a bigger, you know, SLB than Will Wade,
02:34and he'll have no problem sticking it right to everybody.
02:37He has an ax still to grind from that investigation a few years ago.
02:42An overwhelming majority of people wanted to see these athletes getting paid.
02:45You're getting exactly what you want.
02:46Don't get upset by it.
02:47It's why the tournament is expanding.
02:49It's all about money at this point.
02:50It's not about athletics.
02:51It's not about, you know, where you're going to school.
02:53There's something charming, Joe, about what the college sport used to be.
02:57And I'm saying, oh, you're taking advantage of the kids.
02:59Nobody ever forced you to go to college.
03:01It's not fair if I have to go to Alabama and not get paid.
03:03Go work at a gas station for three years, then turn pro.
03:06That is your job.
03:07You can do whatever you want.
03:08You just couldn't get paid.
03:09You took the education, and you moved on as well.
03:12So now you see the evolution of what's taking place,
03:15where it was like, hey, man, I'm going to root on this 17-year-old kid
03:18who's from the state of Louisiana going to LSU,
03:20and I'm going to watch him for four years,
03:21and we're going to build that bond, and away we go.
03:23It's no longer there.
03:24It's complete free agency on a year-to-year basis,
03:26where now it's going to be like, hey, average age of these teams, 23, 24, 25.
03:31And also, some people are just slightly bending the rules.
03:34Some are breaking them there.
03:35Look in college.
03:36The oldest team that felt like in the history of college sports
03:38was Indiana's football team.
03:40What did it get them?
03:41A perfect season and an NCAA championship.
03:44It's not stopping now until the NCAA gets teeth,
03:47and quite frankly, I don't think they care.
03:48As long as people are making money, hands off.
03:51Let the local judge, who's an LSU alum, vote on if R.J. Luis can actually come back and play.
03:56He'll be like, yeah, why not?
03:57And by the time the injunction's up, Joe, oh, he already played the entire season,
04:01LSU won, and on to next year.
04:02Let's drop the case here at this point.
04:04How about a funny topic here on some of these things?
04:06Go ahead, Joe.
04:07Fire away.
04:07I love this.
04:08No, I just, I'm so glad it's not dragging out, Donnie,
04:12where we have another year like last year where it's pockets,
04:14and, you know, we yell and scream at Nate Oates, and, you know, for Charles Bediaco.
04:19Like, no, I want a team, I want a full team of 25 to 27 European professional guys
04:27that I've taken, somebody's got to do it if it's going to change,
04:31and now hopefully we'll wait, we'll do it.
04:33Yep, we'll see what happens here.
04:34Maybe he burns it to the ground and it works in his favor, but it just goes, okay,
04:37I'll follow along, and LeBron James actually has some college eligibility.
04:41Why?
04:42He never played college.
04:43Welcome to town, Gary.
04:44Let's see what we can do for you.
04:45Officially a beaver, Joe.
04:48Petunus Penis.
04:49How about that?
04:50Would you like to add as your name, Joe?
04:51Well, he's officially committed to be a beaver.
04:54Jokes write themselves.
04:56Is that PP?
04:58What's the initials there?
04:59Yeah, PP.
05:00All right, well, that's probably, well, that's probably not good either there.
05:04But all right, he's, listen, nothing like PP being a beaver.
05:08You got to love it there, Donnie.
05:09Oregon State getting it done, man.
05:11Love it.
