00:00The last three weeks of the season, of the regular season, the Knicks figured it out.
00:04And they figured out what was their identity, and they hung their hat on defense.
00:09And as you can see, them hanging their hat on defense allowed them to create turnovers,
00:14get out on the open court.
00:15Everybody feel a part of the offensive side of things.
00:18And as a result, you get the first series in Atlanta.
00:21You get the second series in to sweep in Philly.
00:24And here we are about to play against Cleveland.
00:26You know, you talk about the defensive side of the ball.
00:28Because I think that's a critical point that you're making.
00:31We felt like all season long, this team can score, right?
00:33They have guys who can shoot for most of this year.
00:36And really going into the Tibbs era as well, it felt like, man, this team doesn't want to –
00:40they're not good enough to beat some of the best teams defensively.
00:43How does that flip?
00:44And what does Mike Brown do to make the urgency in the second season, meaning the playoffs,
00:49become that much more important and it actually work?
00:53Well, as a leader, right, as a head coach, you're the leader.
00:56So, you have to settle things down.
00:59You have to calm things down.
01:00You have to bring guys together and bring your group together and really be clear on what you're trying to
01:06do
01:06and what your message was.
01:07And I think towards the end of the season, you could tell that Mike Brown was a lot clearer on
01:12his messaging.
01:13Also, it's the players, right?
01:15The players had to come together and band together and say, what are we going to do?
01:19We can't be in this middle of the pack.
01:22Like, we have to figure out what we want to do, but I think it just all came together at
01:27the same time.
01:28OG in and out the lineup, being injured, you know, allowed the other Knicks guys to play.
01:33I think acquisition of Grand Theft Alvarado, I think he's going to win some games, right?
01:40And I told him this before, and I said, Jose, all you have to do in a series is win
01:45one game.
01:46You have to win one game.
01:47I'm not saying score 20, score 30, but your impact and your presence have to win a game in each
01:53series
01:53in order for the Knicks to be able to showcase what they can do from a totality standpoint.
01:58So, let's take a look at the Knicks.
