03:13In October 2025, we have the European Free Trade Association with a trade and economic partnership agreement,
03:27which is a unique and special agreement between us,
03:40talent, technology and mutual trust.
03:45This is an agreement in this agreement.
03:51In the next 15 years, there is a $100 billion investment and a million jobs created.
04:09This is an ambitious target, but achievable.
04:18In the next 15 years, there is an opportunity for your investment.
04:22In the next 15 years, I will say that this is our guarantee.
04:32Friends, I will compare two sectors,
04:38which can be very popular for you.

05:20In the world of India, there is no match between India's aspirations and India's aspirations.
05:29In 2030, we have made clean energy and 5 million tons of green hydrogen produced.
05:45We have made clean energy investment in Norway's wealth fund.
05:54I am a part of the future of Norway's clean energy.
05:58I am a part of the future.
06:07Reform, perform and transform.

12:10इन सब पे अनुभोविय आपको जानने को मिलेंगे।
12:14मैने भी मेरी तरफ से आपको विश्वाद दिया है।
12:17अने एक प्रकार से, the ball is in your court.
12:27Reflections.
12:28In the end, I would also like to commend the embassies,
12:31important bridges between our countries, also Innovation Norway,
12:36doing an important work from the Norwegian side.
12:40One thing that I have discussed with Prime Minister Modi today is the fact that
12:44countries who believe in a rule-based order, which is not static,
12:49it is always developing and kind of responding to what is happening around,
12:54but countries who believe to certain standards and certain stability in trade and geopolitics
13:00and how countries deal with each other, they have to move closer together.
13:05Because there are outside there in the global community key players who are,
13:11what I would say, weaponizing certain key chains,
13:16weaponizing to some extent diplomacy, trade, value chains, critical rare materials.
13:24And in that perspective, I believe that the countries who normally have a normal state-to-state relationship,
13:33have to think through how this world operates and potentially move closer.
13:38And what I appreciate with this visit, Prime Minister, to Norway,
13:42what we have concluded today in numerous agreements,
13:45many of the key players from the Norwegian sides are now engaged.
13:48The Norwegian government is very much committed to follow up that and deepen also the political contacts.
13:55We have a Nordic-Indian summit tomorrow.
13:58We are one of five Nordic countries.
14:01We are small in population, but we have a long coast, as I have discussed.
14:07I think this is the only thing in Norway which is larger than in India.
14:10We have a longer coastline, but we have to use our advantages where we have them.
14:17So I think that supply chain's vulnerabilities become more visible with disruptions,
14:23ranging from pandemics to war and geopolitical fragmentation.
14:27So when Norway is reaching out, as we say, to hedge our security,
14:31we do that with our Nordic partners, with key European partners.
14:35But I state today to you, we also do it with India.
14:48So I believe that today's discussion, the ones you have had before we came,
14:53and the ones we have heard now, really demonstrates that we have engagement
14:58that can build on expanding this.
15:02The trade agreement we have signed is unique.
15:05We have never made that kind of commitment in terms of expanding our investment,
15:10creating a million jobs in India over time.
15:15So that's where we are now, and we are very happy that we get off to such a good start.
15:20I'm left with three main impressions that I'd like to share with you.
15:23First, I believe we are natural partners, actually complementary partners,
15:29partners in a certain range of areas, and the cooperation is already extensive.
15:34And this conference, I think, is bringing us forward.
15:38We have come together in parallel sessions.
15:41We've been into sectors like medtech, health, maritime cooperation, security, batteries,
15:48storage systems, digitalization, wind energy, very important.
15:54And we have this green partnership which can frame what we do as new proposals and sectors come into play.
16:04Several MOUs and B2B agreements have been signed.
16:08And many of them are also in the intersection of research and the business sector.
16:13Let me say, Prime Minister, you told me today that in India you are opening one university every week.
16:22So, you know, we have something to put our ambitions in.
16:26So I'm pleased to see that many of these agreements are focused on very result-oriented scientific cooperation.
16:33And that is good. That's the first impression.
16:35The second one is that this cooperation will create value and jobs in both countries.
16:42We have certain ambitions to contribute in India, but it's important for me to say also to the Norwegian public
16:48that this will also help the job solidity and creation in Norway.
16:54We work together to reduce emissions, improve healthcare, and contribute to supply chains and security of transactions.
17:07And third is, of course, the potential for further cooperation.
17:11So we don't draw a final line here.
17:13I think that the trade and economic partnership agreement is an open door.
17:17And we now have enough contact points across this table that we wish to see expanded by future visits, future
17:24interchanges, to add new value to this.
17:27So, colleagues, I think that as we observe the world, the principle of free trade is being tested.
17:34I think we believe in it, but it is hard.
17:37I know that India played, together with Norway, a constructive role at the last WTO meeting, trying to keep the
17:44rule-based system at least floating.
17:47But we have to put trust into cooperation, science and higher education.
17:53And by working together in research, higher education, sharing technological advantages, some competition in between, we can really move forward.
18:03Business and research can go hand in hand.
18:05So with this, Prime Minister, Honourable Guest, thank you.
