00:00Ma'am, how important is PM Modi-Norway visit for India-Norway relations?
00:05Look, the visit is taking place after a gap of 43 years of a prime ministerial visit from India.
00:12And this is Prime Minister Modi's first ever visit to Norway.
00:18And it is taking place in the backdrop of global flux.
00:24And also in the India-Norway relationship, a lot has happened.
00:32And so this visit provides a very good opportunity to take stock of the relationship.
00:39And also look for fresh opportunities that are provided by the India-EFTA-TEPA agreement.
00:47That is the trade and economic partnership agreement that was signed with the four EFTA countries,
00:53which has come into force.
00:55And in fact, it's very interesting that the TEPA agreement also has an investment component there
01:05where it talks about $100 billion investment in 15 years from the EFTA states
01:15and 1 million jobs being created.
01:20So there are a lot of opportunities that are to be tapped here.
01:26And in fact, there are Norwegian companies that are present in India
01:32who would like to utilize this opportunity provided by the India-EFTA-TEPA agreement.
01:42And in fact, looking at the various opportunities that India's growth has for them.
01:52Ma'am, how important is the India-Nordic summit in strengthening cooperation
01:56between India and Nordic countries, including Norway?
01:58The summit provides a very good platform for the leaders of India and the five Nordic countries
02:06to have a political dialogue on global issues of importance, as well as regional issues.
02:14In fact, we have a very robust India-Nordic cooperation in various sectors.
02:21We are both, you know, India and the five Nordic countries are vibrant democracies,
02:29as well as, you know, open economies and with green technologies.
02:37These countries have green technologies.
02:39We all stand for a strong multilateralism and a rules-based international order.
02:47And I think that both in terms of finding solutions to global problems,
02:57as well as finding, you know, even bilaterally with these countries,
03:04to look at how we can leverage technology together to solve these global problems
03:12and also bring in prosperity through the trade that we do,
03:19as well as the investments that they undertake.
03:25And I would say it is very important that this summit is taking place at a time of global flux.
