00:00Vivid Sydney is back for 2026, with the Harbour City once again lighting up in a spectacular
00:06explosion of colour, art and technology. Running from May 22nd to June 13th, this year's festival
00:15will transform Sydney with massive light installations, interactive experiences, live music,
00:22food events and immersive projections spread across Circular Quay, The Rocks, Barangaroo,
00:30Darling Harbour and the CBD. Among the standout attractions is The Fringe of Infinity,
00:37a hypnotic geometric projection by Spanish artist Javier Riera, while The Prism, originally created
00:45for Burning Man, offers festival goers a glowing LED dome designed as a tranquil escape from the
00:52crowds. You don't ever get the same view because the colours are always changing depending on the
00:57angle and the light intensity on it. I remember when we were at Burning Man setting it up in a
01:04dust
01:04storm in the desert, blowing dust and can barely see with masks on and goggles and we're on scaffolding
01:11welding pieces together that we hadn't brought or something. So, you know, it's quite surreal and
01:19we're super stoked and happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity.
01:23Another major drawcard is Pendulum, a giant swinging light installation inspired by Newton's laws of
01:31motion, suspended above visitors at Hickson Road Reserve.
