00:00Hello, Sarah from the Bureau here with your National Weather Forecast for tomorrow.
00:03So that's Tuesday the 19th of May.
00:06So we'll start off by taking a look at tomorrow's weather pattern.
00:10Now we've got this trough of low pressure that's continuing to bring wet weather to eastern parts of the country
00:15that's going to gradually contract eastwards, but also bringing a risk of thunderstorms about that coastal fringe.
00:22Also, a weak trough will pass across southern parts of Victoria and Tasmania, bringing a few showers with it.
00:28While out in the west this high pressure system will gradually move into the bight
00:33and bringing generally dry and settled weather to much of the remainder
00:37with just a few unseasonal showers continuing across our tropical north.
00:42So let's take a closer look going around the country state by state.
00:46We'll start off with Queensland.
00:48We've got these showers that are tending more scattered with areas of rain through central and southeastern parts
00:54that are expected to gradually contract to the southeast throughout the day and clear during the evening.
01:01There's also expected morning fog about eastern parts.
01:05But as we head further inland throughout the southwest, dry and mostly sunny conditions.
01:11Daytime temperatures generally in the mid-20s, but grading up to the low 30s as we head towards the tropics.
01:18For Brisbane, a cloudy and wet day with showers clearing later a top of 24 degrees.
01:25Moving on to New South Wales, it's going to be a wet day across the eastern parts of the state,
01:31but particularly about the northeastern quadrant.
01:34There's also a risk of thunderstorms about the coastal fringe and adjacent land areas throughout central and northern parts,
01:41and also a risk of a light shower throughout the far southwest inland areas.
01:46For Sydney, a cloudy day with showers easing during the afternoon a top of 22 degrees,
01:53while for Canberra, a partly cloudy day with showers easing later and a top of 18.
01:59Moving on to Victoria, we've got these showers with areas of rain through the east contracting eastwards during the day,
02:07but then that trough moving across and bringing some showers on and south of the divide as well.
02:13Daytime temperatures across the state are expected to be in the mid to high teens.
02:18For Melbourne, some morning fog patches about the southeastern suburbs,
02:22and then some showers developing from late morning with that trough atop of 17 degrees.
02:28Down in Tasmania, we have those showers approaching from the west with that trough line,
02:33with the risk of showers then extending into northern parts of the state.
02:38Daytime temperatures in the mid to high teens.
02:41For Hobart, a partly cloudy day and a slight chance of a shower atop of 17.
02:47Up in South Australia, we're expecting some fog patches during the morning throughout the south,
02:52and then some very isolated showers as well through southern districts,
02:55but mainly about the windward slopes and coasts.
02:59Daytime maximum temperatures are expected to be in the high teens to low 20s.
03:04For Adelaide, a few showers around during the morning, clearing later atop of 19.
03:10Over in WA, it's this high pressure system that's bringing those really light wind, fine, clear and sunny weather,
03:18except for just a really slight risk of a shower about the Eucla coast.
03:21Daytime maximum temperatures are expected to be in the mid 20s,
03:26but grading up to it near 30 degrees about the central west coast.
03:30For Perth, fine and sunny and atop of 25 degrees.
03:35Moving up to our tropical north, these unseasonal showers are expected to continue,
03:41but tending will widespread through the Kimberley.
03:43As we head further inland through the outback area, though, very dry and sunny conditions are forecast.
03:49For Darwin, a possible shower and a top of 32 degrees.
