02:54You'd see the average Joe overcome the odds, and David versus Goliath.

08:01her own bakery, versus Rebecca, a circus performer who has ignored doctors' orders and continued
08:07to push her body to the limits.
08:09Let's learn more about Rebecca.
08:13Growing up, there were a few times that my parents joked, like, oh, don't quit your job
08:17and join the circus.
08:17And I didn't realize, wait, you can actually make a career out of circus.
08:22I am Rebecca, 31 years old, from San Diego, California, and I am a circus performer.
08:29I'm an aerialist in a stunt show.
08:31The coast is clear.
08:32Let's do it.
08:33Everything we do here is a risk, but it's super fun.
08:37I cross-trained so I can do some of the other stunts as well.
08:39I think the discipline that circus takes and also the creativity.
08:42You can't just be strong.
08:43You can't just be flexible.
08:44You can't just be artistic.
08:46You have to be all of those things.
08:48With $100,000, I would love to get land, have my own big top on it, and bring everyone

12:45I missed the CrossFit Games two years in a row by like one to three points, just kind
12:50of falling short.
12:51So, I needed to take a mental health break and kind of just have something that pulled
12:55my focus from it.
12:56So, I started sourdough and sourdough baking.
12:59It just gave me something else to take my mind off of stuff.
13:02That feeling when you open up the Dutch oven, it feels so good.
13:06It's like, ah, perfection.
13:09I never really thought I'd step out onto another competition floor.
13:12So, even though this is different, it just feels like I'm kind of winning myself back.

16:12For Rebecca Clements, this has been as much about being tested mentally as physically.

16:21When I'm going head-to-head with a gladiator, it'll come down to kind of working with myself.
16:27I'm very cautious to make sure that I stay in one piece because I have what's called a Chiari malformation.
16:35You essentially need to get a compression surgery.
16:37They take out part of your skull and part of your C1 to open up space.
16:42It'll affect balance and coordination.
16:44In addition, I have scoliosis.
16:45I've had five knee surgeries.
16:47I've had bilateral hip surgery.
16:48You know, it's almost like I've spent all this time trying to piece my body together.
16:53I can't be held back by some structural defects that it's going to take a lot more than that to
16:58take me down.
17:00I still have the fire in me.
17:03I still have an itch.
17:04There's still a, like, I'm not done yet with all the physical things.
17:06So, I want to show that where there's a will, there's a way.

19:02I'm 28 years old.
19:03I'm from Fontana, California.
19:04And for a living, I am a motion capture artist.
19:07I am literally the video game character that people play on their console at home, and they don't even know
19:12it.
19:13Me and my longtime girlfriend, I had kids very young, so there was definitely that pressure to provide for the
19:19family.
19:19I didn't graduate with a degree.
19:20I didn't have a normal job.
19:21I was pursuing a professional fighting career.
19:23I wasn't really able to pay the bills.
19:25I had to do stuff on the side, like selling shoes, personal training people.
19:28I did everything in between.
19:30For me to be where I'm at today and able to make money with my passions, it means the world
