00:00Well, first and foremost, I think a misconception that's out there is that bears are kind of aggressive and looking
00:06for people, which is just simply not true.
00:08Bears are pretty afraid of people.
00:11So if you come across a bear, you know, you should know that that bear is probably more afraid of
00:17you than you are of it.
00:20However, if you do come across the bear, the most important thing for you to do is to stay calm
00:25and make sure that you give the bear some space.
00:30You should never try and approach a bear or corner it or try to feed it.
00:35You know, basically you want to kind of back away.
00:37And then if you're in a residential area, it's important for you to bring pets indoors, trash.
00:45Make sure you're removing any sort of attractants in the area that might, you know, warrant the bear to come
00:51back.
00:52I mean, bears have pretty sensational noses.
