00:10Hi it's Mike Hayes here from Kangaroo Valley and I'm currently standing in my office here on the
00:16upper Kangaroo River. We have a remarkable affinity with the platypus which gave us that
00:22wonderful opportunity to meet the great man Sir David Attenborough 25 years ago now maybe 26.
00:28They came out here the BBC crew to film the monitoring section for the life of mammals
00:34a BBC production and Sir David stayed with us here in Kangaroo Valley for about two weeks.
00:42About four or five years ago we were able to celebrate the 21st anniversary through an exchange
00:47of letters between David and I and a treasured memory that I've got sitting in my office here
00:54in the valley. We hope to and like to celebrate the great man's 100th birthday last week and
01:01send him our best wishes from this beautiful place that we know as Kangaroo Valley.
