Goku's Breakfast

Morning sunlight floods the small house kitchen.
Goku ties on Chi-Chi's old apron, beaming with excitement.
Today he's determined to surprise her with perfect fried eggs.
He heats the pan, cracks the first egg—shell explodes into powder, everything crashes into the pan.
Goku scratches his head: “Oops, too much strength again.”
Second egg: he taps gently. Yolk bursts, spreads like lava.
He stirs frantically with chopsticks, turning it into scrambled soup.
Chi-Chi appears in the doorway, arms crossed, watching.
Goku flashes a big grin: “Chi-Chi! Breakfast in a minute! Super tasty!”
Third egg: careful this time. It lands fine…
but the flame is maxed—egg chars black instantly, smoke billows. Smoke alarm shrieks.
Goku waves the spatula like a weapon, sending it flying into the wall with a clang.
Chi-Chi marches over, shuts off the gas, opens the window.
She cracks the last egg perfectly, adjusts the heat.
Twenty seconds later: golden, fragrant fried egg, aroma everywhere.
Goku stares, drooling: “Wow… Chi-Chi, you're amazing!”
she slides the plate to him. “Eat. I'll remake yours properly.SSH
” Goku takes a huge bite, eyes sparkling: “You're the best, Chi-Chi!”
Chi-Chi plants hands on hips, voice sharp.
“Best? You think fried eggs pay the bills, Goku?
You spend all day training or eating, while I work the fields and raise Gohan!
If you spent half as much time earning money as you do breaking my kitchen, we wouldn't be eating dirt for dinner!”
Goku freezes mid-bite, sweat drops.
“Uh… but… fighting bad guys saves the world…” Chi-Chi glares. “Save the world on an empty wallet?
Next time you burn breakfast, I'm selling your gi to pay the bills!”
Goku gulps, nods furiously: “Yes ma'am! From now on, breakfast is all yours! I'll… I'll find a job! Maybe!”
Smoke still curls from the pan.
Goku grins sheepishly, heart full despite the scolding. Super Saiyan or not, he knows who's really in charge.
