TODDLER DASHES TO THE FINISH LINE TO HOLD RUNNER MOM'S HAND
WITH VID
By Celeste Olivares
Check out this heartwarming footage of a determined mother being cheered on by her biggest fan as she completes a major milestone!
Jacqueline Waldman proved that perseverance runs in the family when she completed her very first half marathon just seven months postpartum. As she approached the finish line at the Walkway Over The Hudson in Highland, New York, a surprise supporter was waiting to help her across the mark.
Jacqueline was running alongside her best friend when she heard a familiar voice calling for her. Her three year old daughter, who had been waiting patiently with her husband Matthew and their friends, couldn't hold her excitement.
Her daughter screamed: “That’s my mom!” before running out onto the course to take Jacqueline’s hand, accompanying her for the final stretch of the race.
Jacqueline, reflecting on the beautiful moment, said: “It was a beautiful moment my husband captured”
“I am always going to show them what it looks like to keep going even when things are hard!”
“Our kids are always watching... so I’ll keep showing them what it looks like to keep going.”
A viewer said: “I immediately started crying when I heard her say “that’s my mom!”
Another said: “Omg, I would simply melt into a puddle on the spot. That is the cutest thing.”
