00:03What a series and what a battle.
00:05The Rangers stormed the field after their first walk-off win of the season,
00:10taking this series from Arizona 2-1, and the score of this game, 6-5.
00:15The story of the night is Jake Berger back in full swing, pun intended.
00:20It was a scoreless game for both teams until the bottom of the fifth
00:24when Jake Berger came up and hit a three-run home run,
00:27bringing the Rangers up 3-0.
00:30In the bottom of the ninth, Josh Junk and Ezekiel Duran sparked a rally with their hits,
00:34and then Jake Berger came up and tied the game 5-5.
00:38But the battle didn't stop there.
00:40Danny Jensen came up to save the day with his fifth walk-off
00:43and the Rangers' first walk-off of the season to seal the deal.
00:47We spoke with team manager Skip Schumacher on the team's win and about Jake Berger.
00:52He says that Berger is an easy guy to root for,
00:55not only because he's a good person, but because he works hard.
00:59He says that Jake just has that clutch gene
01:02and that he easily could carry a team for weeks.
01:05Jake, you know, it's an easy guy to root for because of how good of a person he is,
01:10but also how hard he works.
01:12And, you know, you bet on guys that work hard.
01:14And I believe hard work equals good luck, and he got some good luck today.
01:19He deserves the good luck with all the work he's put in lately,
01:22and we followed his career, I should say.
01:24But, yeah, today was huge for him.
