Every once in a while we’re lucky enough to encounter a mom/calf pair of blue whales. When approached respectfully, the moms often become very comfortable with our boat…even leaving their calves with us for extended periods of time while she dives deep to feed! This is sometimes referred to as “parking”, or as we call it: babysitting!
