00:34So you debuted last year with your first single which is called Compass. Tell us about the song
00:39and how it felt back then when you released. Yeah, it was super nerve-wracking. Just releasing
00:45anything in general is a very nerve-wracking experience but I was very excited as well.
00:49Yeah, so nerve-wracking but exciting. What is the song about, Compass? It's more about, I guess,
00:56finding what you want to do in life and confidence as well. So it's a very personal
01:00song to me. So yeah, very vulnerable when I'm singing it. All right. So you're half Australian
01:06and half Japanese. So how has your multicultural background shaped also your identity as an artist?
01:12Yeah, definitely. Growing up, I had a lot of influence from my mom listening to a lot of J-pop
01:18and Japanese
01:19bands and of course my dad listening to a lot of like British or Australian music. So growing up,
01:24I had a lot of, I guess, experience listening to both cultural sides of music. Yeah. So you sing in
01:31English, in Japanese and even in Mandarin. What inspired you to explore different languages in your music?
01:38Yeah. I mean, I've always enjoyed like K-pop, C-pop, J-pop. So, um, and I recently was watching
01:44a C-drama.
01:45Okay. And so I got really interested in, um, Chinese songs. So it was like a challenge for me to
01:50sing in Mandarin.
01:50How about P-pop? Oh, I love P-pop too. Yes. Any Filipino artists that you would like to collaborate?
01:57Yes. So speaking of P-pop, there's a Beanie. Beanie. All right. I love them. Yeah. So.
02:03Any songs about Beanie of Beanie that you, you also want to cover?
02:07How about Salamin Salamin in Pan Tropico? We'd love to hear your version about that.
02:12Anyway, well, you have fans back there in, um, Japan. And of course, probably fans also in the Philippines.
02:20Maybe. If you have that chance to make music here in our country, um, I wonder what kind of vibe
