വിജയിയുടെ ജ്യോതിഷിയും പാർട്ടി വക്താവുമായ റിക്കി രാധൻ പണ്ഡിറ്റ് വെട്രിവേലിന് സർക്കാർ ജോലി നൽകിയ നടപടി റദ്ദാക്കി. ഇടതുപാർട്ടികളുടെയും വിസികെയുടെയും ഡിഎംഡികെയുടെയും ഉൾപെടെ വിമർശനം ഉയർന്നതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തീരുമാനം. ജ്യോതിഷിയുടെ സേവനം വേണമെങ്കിൽ വ്യക്തിപരമായി തേടണമെന്നും സർക്കാർ ജോലി നൽകുന്നത് തെറ്റാണെന്നും വിശ്വാസപ്രമേയചർച്ചക്കിടെ DMDK നേതാവ് പ്രേമലത വിജയകുമാർ വിമർശിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതെല്ലാം പരിഗണിക്കുമെന്നും പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കുമെന്നും വിജയ് നിയമസഭയിൽ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തീരുമാനം വന്നത്. In response, Vijay had stated in the Assembly that these concerns would be considered and reviewed. The official decision to cancel the appointment followed shortly after.
