09:51in a dispute with officers responding to a noise complaint you're not allowed in here and when
09:57he tries to walk away the officers attempt to restrain him finally doing so
10:12with the help of a taser
10:26gym member steps in to confront police
10:41as all four officers still struggled to handcuff the man step back
10:50more gym members approach to voice their concerns to the officers
11:15the officers continue to go about their business
11:24and with the man now secured in handcuffs the police prepared to place him in the squad car
11:33you're gonna do all this everybody there was cool with you no one yelled that you were anything you provoked
11:40that whole thing you know according to the police report one of the officers sustains a minor
11:45abrasion on the inside of his bottom lip during the struggle
11:48in the case
11:52the gym owner is charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer
11:59according to court records county prosecutors filed a motion to drop the criminal complaint
12:04and the charges were dismissed and while the case is closed the lesson is clear
12:12responding to a police complaint with a level head
12:25and while it is certainly the exception rather than the norm there are myriad ways that customers can be involved
12:34in an accident while in a place of business
12:43and the same is also true for employees
12:50and while most businesses do their best to avoid such incidents there are some threats
12:56that are nearly impossible to predict in canada all right thank you very so much
13:03it's 1 30 pm at a phone repair shop as a customer in the store chats with one of the
13:08owners

13:14the country the owner's husband and co-owner of the store sits toward the back while an employee is in

13:21the two worst comes the worst well we're heading for like the mountains in idaho while it may seem like

13:44the store's one customer heads out the door

13:58as just moments after the customer leaves the store
14:01this silver car appears to speed up
14:05and drives straight into the store
14:10according to news reports while the male store owner receives some scratches and bruises from being
14:15pushed into the wall his wife is unscathed mostly because as luck would have it she moves her chair
14:24seconds before the car plows through the store
14:28incredibly allowing the falling wall to just graze her without causing any serious injuries
14:45the store employee also appears unharmed according to media reports the driver is assessed by emergency
14:52crews and cleared of injuries the incident is still under investigation it is unknown what caused the
14:59vehicle to crash but in a statement to the news the owner says nobody really got hurt so we can't
15:06complain too much
15:08a great reminder that if you're ever in a ground level store with ample parking
15:14it never hurts to keep one eye on the lot outside
15:27every year millions of customers travel to africa for safari adventures
15:33fueling a billion dollar industry built on the promise of getting closer to the wild than ever before
15:44oh and while this is often a life-changing event for those lucky enough to book one of these outings
15:51it's not always the kind of life change one might be looking for
16:04in botswana partners larry unrain and jeff melvin are with a group on a canoe safari in the okavango delta
16:14the elephant home to africa's largest elephant population it was actually a birthday present for
16:21me for my 50th i was looking forward to seeing animals at a fun safe distance
16:28it did seem a bit sketchy though to be hopping into this little boat when there was elephants and hippos
16:36and the crocodiles all around but i was gonna trust our guides that we were in good hands and we
16:42weren't
16:43gonna do anything that was gonna put us in danger for me it was a bucket list thing i'd always
16:48wanted to
16:49get there sure enough it doesn't take long for larry and jeff's boat to come within about 30 yards of
16:55an
16:55elephant we pulled up to the elephant and it was eating grass that was in the water it seemed to
17:02be just
17:03doing its thing we were head on and i was in the front so i think at that moment that's
17:10when i thought
17:10we kind of met eyes
17:20when the ears went out and i i knew we were in trouble
17:31within seconds the guides react quickly back paddling the canoes to protect the tourists
17:39but despite the race to safety the elephant is closing the distance fast
17:55in botswana's okavango delta partners larry unrain and jeff melvin are in a boat with a group of tourists
18:03all of whom are in a desperate dash to escape a charging elephant
18:10you're not gonna outrun the elephant the elephant's bigger than you i'm in this tiny little boat
18:15despite the best efforts of the guides to back paddle the boat to safety
18:20they're no match for the speed of the elephant
18:32jeff took the brumby yeah and my immediate thought was i brought him out here for his birthday
18:38and i get him killed as a group of tourists scramble in the water the guides try to hustle
18:44them to safety making loud noises to deter the elephant but it's still in full charge mode and then
18:57slams into a tourist in the next boat oh no the elephant charged at that point
19:11it was pretty terrifying in the moment elephants when in the wild one provoked or when they're
19:19needing to defend themselves they will charge you hold you down push you down and then basically
19:27stomp you to death poor guys continue to shout to try to scare the elephant off the woman and then
19:36she popped up again and she was on her feet and she was luckily walking on her own power
19:42and that's when the elephants run away into the bush
19:48and that's when i realized there was uh babies like just beyond there because the grass was really
19:53tall so we couldn't really see everything according to experts elephant mothers are fiercely protective
20:00of their young oh no so it wasn't random aggression it was protection
20:11miraculously the woman makes it out alive she just got really lucky because we were in water
20:17and hadn't it been for the water being as deep as it was and the mud being as soft she
20:22definitely
20:23wouldn't have survived okay are you okay the tour company has not made a statement regarding this
20:31incident but larry and jeff are grateful for the quick response the two boat pullers basically they
20:38went to hero mode and if it wasn't for them we probably wouldn't be here talking
20:42i was so joyed that i was still alive and i i was like wow i think we somehow survived

20:55wild humans are guests and not always in control we're miles and miles and miles away from
21:03any kind of town or civilization and we're we're in their space
21:09in africa will come at you and humble you really fast
