00:02It's an arrival almost 10 years in the making, but John Travolta's luxury aircraft that
00:07he's donating to a New South Wales Aviation Museum has finally arrived in Australia today.
00:12After two months at sea, a ship carrying the fuselage, wings and tail of the Boeing 707
00:17docked here at Fort Kembla in Wollongong this afternoon.
00:20The plane was carefully lifted off the ship and will be transported by road
00:24to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum just 15 kilometres south
00:28at the Shell Harbour Airport. Now, originally the plan was to fly this plane from America to Australia
00:33with John Travolta on board, but there are a number of logistical problems that meant that that couldn't happen
00:38and so recently the museum decided to have the plane dismantled in America and sent over by ship.
00:43Now, John Travolta is friends with members at the museum here and he's delighted the plane will get a second
00:47life.
00:48He's expected to even be here for its unveiling once it's been rebuilt.
00:52And the rest of the plane, including its engines and 4,800 nuts and bolts are already here
00:58and today was the delivery of those final pieces.
01:01It's expected to be a tourism draw card. The plane's fitted out with an entertaining area,
01:05two bedrooms and a bathroom, giving people an insight into the life of the rich and famous.
01:10Now, due to those mechanical issues, the plane itself is not expected to fly,
01:14but the people at Haas are expected to rebuild the plane, refurbish the interior
01:18and get it up to a point where tourists can taxi around the tarmac.
01:22And the bit of the garnering and fetch us, being prepared to fly and the outfits are very blue,
01:22and even if you're connected, you're bitten for the traditional structure of George Perry.
01:23I think this board has technology included in the parts of the app,
01:23and the願い is actually an event where it has to be negative,
