00:00I'm Lizzie Fink and this is five days of different beauty looks.

00:04Hey everyone! If you're new to Refinery29's YouTube channel, be sure to click on the subscribe button in the corner

00:10Alright, let's go.

00:11So right now I'm obviously in my everyday natural makeup look, but earlier this week I decided to challenge myself

00:18to take on the makeup looks of five Refinery29 coworkers of mine.

00:22These women are bold, they're confident, they're so so beautiful inside and out, and each of them knows how to

00:29rock a unique beauty look.

00:31For this episode I'm partnering with Revlon and I featured a different super lustrous lipstick on each day.

00:36And every day I also use the same base products of foundation, a concealer, a brow pencil, and a setting

00:42spray.

00:42As many of you know, I typically go lighter on my daily makeup, but when I do experiment with different

00:47beauty looks, I find that the lipstick in particular,

00:50which generally is the last thing that I apply onto my face, is what really changes the look and changes

00:55the overall way I feel about the style.

00:57So each of the five styles that I tried this week incorporated a different bold lip.

01:02Let's begin with Monday.

01:05The first look that I tried this week centered around a bold red lip.

01:09This look is frequently worn by my coworker, Laura De La Rado, who loves rocking a cherry red lip and

01:15a black winged eyeliner.

01:17This is my super lustrous lip shade, Fire and Ice by Revlon.

01:22It is the color that I constantly go to.

01:26Laura's skin tone is more of a cool tone, so she uses Fire and Ice for her red lip.

01:31And I'm more of a warm toned person, and I actually just recently came back from a trip to Miami,

01:35so I'm looking pretty tan right now.

01:37Believe it or not, this is pretty tan for me.

01:39I chose a warm toned red lip and went with Love Is On from the Refinery29 and Revlon Make Your

01:44Mark collaboration.

01:45This shade is also available in the Super Lustrous collection all year round.

01:50Once this look was complete, I went outside and I went to the plant district to get a new plant

01:55for my windowsill.

01:56This look definitely made me feel classic, and something about it just screamed Hollywood to me.

02:01But at the same time, it did feel very modern, and I rarely do a winged eyeliner look like that.

02:06But truly, the combination of the eyeliner and the lip had me feeling very empowered, and I was pounding the

02:13pavement with that plant.

02:16Tuesday's look was full glam.

02:19I was excited for this one.

02:20I may be on the natural side most of the time, but that does not mean that I don't love

02:24getting completely glammed up every now and then.

02:27Tuesday's look was inspired by Tatiana, a beauty writer at Refinery29, whose go-to signature look is a full beat

02:35face of makeup.

02:36Something that is drastically different from my day-to-day look.

02:39Every now and then, if I have an event to go to, or if I have a shoot for work,

02:43I'll wear a little bit more makeup than I normally wear.

02:45But I very rarely do a full coverage look.

02:47I knew that I wouldn't really be able to achieve this look properly if I tried to do it all

02:52by myself.

02:53So instead, I invited my friend and makeup artist, Stephanie, over to my apartment for a little bit of support.

02:59For this one, we used a foundation stick for contouring.

03:02She sprayed my face with setting spray first, and then she put on the highlighter.

03:06And apparently doing things in that order helps intensify the glow.

03:10The lip we used is Super Lustrous in Mink, which Stephanie told me is a little bit darker than a

03:15skin tone nude.

03:16It's more of a warm nude that keeps the look monochromatic.

03:20We followed it all up with another spritz of setting spray just to keep everything in place, and then I

03:25went off to work.

03:26It was definitely a strange feeling to walk around with a full face of makeup on all day.

03:31Tatiana!

03:32Hi!

03:33I just wanted to come see my face inspiration.

03:35So what do you think of my lips? Did you use lip liner?

03:37I did.

03:38Yes, that's super important in creating that look, especially when you want a nude lip.

03:42You don't want your lips to look too thin, so you got it right on me.

03:44I'm glad that I can serve as inspiration.

03:48There was not one coworker of mine who saw me who didn't say something to me about my face.

03:53You look great!

03:55Honestly, like, you should rock this every day.

03:57I think everyone agreed, though, that even though it was a lot, it looked really cool.

04:02I felt pretty much ready to take on anything and, truthfully, every step of the day felt like I was

04:07walking down a glamorous runway.

04:09So while this might not be an everyday look for me and would probably take way too much time for

04:14me to attempt every day,

04:15this was a great style for a glamorous night out or just for any random day if I want my

04:20look to feel a bit elevated.

04:24On Wednesday, I wanted to pick a more low-key look that's a little bit more similar to my everyday

04:29style while still having some elements that are new for me.

04:32So Wednesday's Beauty Muse was another one of my R29 work friends, Nana Adjaman.

04:37Nana is a fashion strategist at Refinery29 and she is constantly looking fab.

04:43I love the idea of no makeup makeup.

04:46Something that's very natural but still gives you that little special something.

04:50I'm used to that dewy and naturally shiny look.

04:53I love face oils so even after I put my makeup on, my face is still usually glowing from that

04:59oil.

04:59But Nana actually makes her face more matte looking and then she pairs that with a full brow and a

05:04glossy brown lip.

05:05So after filling in my brows and then mattifying my skin, I followed it up with the lip.

05:09I used Super Lustrous in Coffee Bean which is a pinky brown shade and then I topped it off with

05:15gloss.

05:15Afterwards, I went into work and the first thing I did was look around for Nana.

05:19It's a busy day at Refinery29, the office is buzzing and I'm going to go find Nana who is my

05:25inspiration behind this look.

05:27Nana!

05:28Hey Boo! How are you? Oh, you look so pretty!

05:32I got you on camera.

05:33Your makeup looks amazing, right? But it doesn't look like you have tried at all.

05:37It's so effortless. But when I look at your lips, I'm like super attracted.

05:40I'm like, whoa, my God, these are like so cool and beautiful.

05:43What do you have on?

05:44Well, it's this right here. Coffee Bean. Love it.

05:47Do this every day.

05:48Every day. We'll be twins every day.

05:50I felt confident knowing that this look actually helped accentuate some of my favorite facial features

05:55and helped them stand out even more.

05:57So Wednesday's look was a definite win for me.

06:02After a low key Wednesday, I decided to really amp things up for Thursday.

06:06I spent most of Thursday morning trying to figure out whose look I should emulate for the day.

06:11And by midday, I had a major brain blast.

06:14Lydia Peng is Refinery29's creative director and you might remember her from when I did Five Days of Different Styles.

06:21She's the one who put me in her dark minimalism outfit.

06:24And even though she did apply a black lip to me then, I realized over time that there is so

06:29much more to her signature beauty look.

06:31I feel myself in it. I feel strong. I feel like I'm wearing my personality and my power.

06:38Thursday's look focused on a midnight black lipstick, a strong black brow, and a black cat eye.

06:44It was intense. Very dark. Very dramatic. Very not classic Lucy.

06:50After work, I had a dinner reservation with my friends Hannah and Sam, so I had a great chance to

06:55take this look outside of the office.

06:56When people are used to seeing you look a certain way and then you show up and you just completely

07:01disrupt that idea, it can be very jarring.

07:04Initially, I myself was very aware of the makeup that I had on my face and I wasn't exactly sure

07:09how I felt about it.

07:10But by the end of the night, I was feeling totally fearless and I had this moment where I realized,

07:15wow, you can try a different makeup style every day and it is an incredible exercise in confidence building.

07:21So I doubt I'm going to be rocking this dark style every single day because, truthfully, it's not the style

07:26that calls me every day the way it calls Lydia.

07:28But it's definitely something I loved and would wear out again.

07:33With the week coming to a close, I wanted to wrap up this challenge with some serious color.

07:37So on Friday, I teamed up with Mian Chan from Beauty With Me.

07:41She loves playing with pops of color and different geometric shapes and she's really a risk taker when it comes

07:46to this stuff.

07:47On Friday, I tried a bright bluish greenish eyeliner with a hot pink lip.

07:52I wanted the colors that I used to pop, to look very dramatic and to have a lot of contrast.

07:57So I met with Mian at work and she walked me through the whole application.

08:00Start in the middle.

08:02Right here?

08:02Just where it's going to get the most product.

08:04Blend it out with that doe foot up into your crease.

08:07With that what?

08:08This is the doe foot applicator.

08:10Doe foot.

08:11Yes.

08:12Good words to know.

08:14My eyelid feels like a canvas.

08:17Yes!

08:18The key here, what I like to do, which you did on this eye, is you kind of winged out

08:23the shadow here.

08:24I'm feeling good about stage one.

08:26I guess now it's time for the liner.

08:28Liner.

08:28Okay.

08:32Get the liner open.

08:34Step one.

08:35You're smashing it.

08:36It's great.

08:37Oh god.

08:38Oh gosh.

08:39Oh no.

08:39We got some liner down there.

08:42We have a problem.

08:43How's the liner?

08:44It looks so good.

08:46Yeah?

08:46I think you really need to finish it off with some mascara and move on to lips and you're

08:50done.

08:50That was kind of fast though, right?

08:52Very fast.

08:53I'm wearing Cherries in the Snow and you're wearing something different, right?

08:56Yes.

08:57I'm wearing Femme Future Femme.

08:59You're pink and mine is very bright.

09:01Whoa.

09:04This is a perfect lipstick job at the moment.

09:07I am in shock.

09:08I don't like the lines to be really crisp.

09:12I like them to be a little blurred.

09:13I kind of like the more lived in look.

09:17Blur the ends with your finger basically.

09:19Huh.

09:20What a pro pro pro pro tip.

09:24Stunning.

09:25Your turn.

09:26Alright.

09:27Can you judge my technique?

09:28Yes.

09:29Whoa.

09:31Get the cupid's bow.

09:35It's okay.

09:35I really went outside the lines.

09:37Uh huh.

09:38Uh huh.

09:39Uh huh.

09:39And be careful not to get it all over your face.

09:41You're basically just softening the lines with your finger.

09:44I'm a disco diva.

09:47I'll get to it.

09:47That should be your Halloween look!

09:50And as soon as we were done, we decided to take to the streets.

09:53It took a little while to get used to the fact that I had so much makeup on my eyelids,

09:57but after a little while, it felt normal.

09:59The thing I loved most about Friday was really recognizing how your face is like a blank canvas.

10:05You can paint on it.

10:06You can create art on your face in the same way that an artist paints on the canvas.

10:10And there's really so much real estate to get crafty and be creative.

10:14A makeup look is something that can define your personality and tell your story.

10:19I loved feeling excited and empowered by these different looks.

10:22And even on the days when I was a little bit nervous about the outcome, I still had fun.

10:26Which proved to me that experimenting with different colors and styles is definitely a great way to keep things exciting

10:32and fresh.
