00:00Sous-titrage Société Radio-Canada
00:04Right now is the first week back from Thanksgiving
00:06and it's pretty weird being back.
00:09It's kind of like the first day here
00:10because everybody is getting adjusted back into the groove of the program.
00:16Winter is a depression season
00:17and everybody just wants to go home.
00:20I mean, after Thanksgiving you've got a taste of home
00:23and now you're back here.
00:25Well, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is challenging
00:29because they don't really have enough transition time
00:32to get back into the groove before they're planning to leave again.
00:38Sometimes the malaise that you see is wanting to be home
00:41but knowing that's not possible
00:43and they kind of just try and put one foot in front of the other
00:45and get through their day.
00:47This time coming back to Wellspring I was pretty grumpy.
00:51These are the last weeks of the semester
00:53and when I came back I was searching for reasons for me to go home.
00:58It's not just me. It's not just one person that does this.
01:01It's everyone.
01:02And it was contagious.
01:04I've had mixed feelings about coming back for Thanksgiving
01:06because, I mean, it's always hard leaving home.
01:09Love you. You too.
01:12But I only have like three weeks left anyway.
01:15So I have to work really hard and bust my butt.
01:19Elbows up. Elbows up.
01:21That's hard. Drop. Get low. Get low.
01:24When I weighed in, I was really angry.
01:30You gained about seven and half, eight pounds.
01:33There's no way I gained that much weight in two days.
01:36Who is surprised says that he stayed on plan
01:39and is running four miles a day.
01:41If running four miles a day results in a weight gain,
01:45that seems pretty improbable.
01:50I'm about to give Scottie Basso's mom a call.
01:53This is the first call after Thanksgiving.
01:56Hello.
01:57And I'm going to let her know what the results of his weigh-in were
02:00and to get a debrief about how the break went at her house.
02:05Scott had his weigh-in and ended up gaining seven and a half pounds
02:09since he left Wellspring.
02:12Uh-huh.
02:13He was telling me all about how you and grandmother and his aunt
02:16were all making food that was on program.
02:19Oh yeah, everything was on program.
02:22Okay.
02:26And did he go for a run sometimes?
02:28Yeah.
02:29Scott was up at 6 o'clock in the morning to get his workout in
02:33before Thanksgiving.
02:34Right.
02:35Scott was supposed to be at the gym at 5,
02:38hoping he's going to get here soon.
02:42It's 5.30 in the morning.
02:43He's missing in action right now.
02:45I still have hope that he's going to be here.
02:50A waste of our time.
02:51Yeah.
02:52We're disappointed.
02:53If I have a parent telling me that, yes,
02:55my son ate on program the entire time
02:58or was working out every day
02:59and it's showing up as a significant weight gain when they come back,
03:03then I have to question that.
03:05When Scott is away from the academy on average,
03:09he gains about a pound a day.
03:12Uh-huh.
03:13It comes down to portion control.
03:15I've said it a million times.
03:16So it sounds like you were observing him overeating.
03:19Uh-huh.
03:20What did you do?
03:21Did you?
03:21I'm so fat enough.
03:24Not another thing.
03:26What we've seen so far is that
03:28when he's away from the academy,
03:29he puts on weight pretty quickly.
03:32I am concerned that he may gain all of his weight back
03:36if he isn't able to.
03:37I don't think Scott's ever going to gain all that weight back.
03:43It's my job to try to make sure that we've got Scott prepared when he's transitioning home,
03:48but certainly I am a little bit more concerned than Mom is.
04:00It's after Thanksgiving and right before Christmas,
04:04so kids probably haven't been getting as much exercise as they should be.
04:09We're going to snap them out of that.
04:14All right, guys.
04:16I need everyone's attention.
04:18You all just got back from Thanksgiving,
04:20so today we're going to switch it up a little bit
04:22and have a team obstacle challenge.
04:26My plan for this afternoon is to give a team of three a massive tire
04:32and have them roll and carry it around campus
04:37while stopping at checkpoints to do different exercises.
04:41If you look down there, you'll see a whole bunch of tires.
04:47They are what you are going to be pushing, carrying, and exercising with today.
04:54We saw all the tires, and we were all kind of like, ugh.
04:59It was such a slow.
05:01I was like, whoa, no.
05:03This is not even fun.
05:04I lost to half a pound at home.
05:06I don't need to play around with a bunch of tires.
05:08That's a funny joke.
05:10I'm not going to lie.
05:11This is going to suck.
05:12John T and Nicole hate us.
05:16I got Lindsey and Tanisha, and like, yo,
05:18let's be real.
05:19That's like a mad crappy team.
05:20So happy!
05:22Woo!
05:22I really just wish that more people had gone into it with a better attitude.
05:27With a tire around six times, like, oh, joy.
05:30I'm cold, and these teams are not fair.
05:33On your marks!
05:35Get set!
05:37Go!
05:38Come on!
05:39We got it!
05:41There we go.
05:42Up we go.
05:43The tire was definitely really heavy.
05:45It was a lot heavier than I thought.
05:47I was just going to drag it up the hill, but I tried, and it's not easy.
05:52And I was like, man, I cannot believe this.
05:56Turn!
05:57There we go!
05:58Up we go!
06:00Good job, Rachel!
06:02Yeah!
06:04Hailey was on my team, and so was Evan.
06:06So, you know, I was kind of like, okay.
06:11I only helped my team push the tire the first lap, because the rest of the time I was kind
06:16of catching up.
06:23I was definitely frustrated that the team had to wait for me.
06:27We're on our fourth hat of six.
06:30So, once Hailey gets here, we're doing our push-ups.
06:34And then two more laps.
06:38Every time I would apologize and be like, it was fine, I still knew it wasn't.
06:42Hailey is not a happy camper.
06:44She is exhausted, and all she wants to do is go to her room right now.
06:48Hop!
06:49What's there to discuss?
06:49Do them!
06:50Down!
06:51Out!
06:51Up!
06:52Woo!
06:52Come on!
06:5330 of them.
06:54The sooner you start, the sooner you're finished.
06:58Some of the kids hate me right now.
07:01Most of them strongly dislike me right now.
07:06We've been doing this for over an hour.
07:09And if it took us over an hour to do the first half,
07:13let's just wait to see how long it takes for the second half.
07:16Probably be here till the frickin' dinner.
07:19It was really, really cold for the tire challenge.
07:25It's really cold. I actually doubled up on sweatshirts.
07:28I think that I'm going to go into hypothermia because I'm freezing.
07:31It was the students that weren't keeping up with their teams and weren't really helping.
07:38Those were the ones that got cold.
07:40Are you laughing?
07:41What are you talking about? You didn't even do anything. Come on.
07:43They started getting more moody and a little more angry at the situation.
07:49Who are you talking to?
07:50You! That's what I'm talking to.
07:52You better watch it.
07:54When I heard that Scotty was on my team, I was like,
07:57Oh my God, this cannot be happening.
07:59Because that, he gets on my nerves.
08:02Oh, watch it when you actually do something. Come on.
08:05You better watch your language.
08:07David decided he didn't want to do it, so he walked away, and me and Emily finished it.
08:11He was yelling at me, Come on, do it!
08:13I'm like, Don't yell at me.
08:15He kept on, so I walked off.
08:17David, why are you ditching your team, you?
08:19Man, I hate the , man.
08:21All right, just stop. It's okay. Stop.
08:22Shut the up. Leave us alone.
08:25Come here.
08:31By this point, some people are on their third lap and some people are on their final lap.
08:35Come on. This way. Turn.
08:38All the way up. All the way up. Good job, Sasha.
08:41It's been a tricky one. Some people just took to it and went with it,
08:45and other people are really struggling to control their tires.
08:48Run! Run! Run! Run!
08:55I think Scotty is letting Emily take care of the tire right now.
09:02I'm hoping he helped earlier.
09:13But he was complaining about cold earlier, so maybe he's just really cold, and now it's just Emily's turn.
09:19You guys are done!
09:21Woo!
09:22Awesome!
09:23My team was done, and at that point, I was just like a ticking time bomb.
09:31Coach Nicole was being her usual self.
09:34Yeah!
09:35Being all happy and hyper, and at that point, I just got really frustrated.
09:41Good job, Evan. You guys did great today. Hayley?
09:43Seriously, not moving.
09:44Aw.
09:46I had to tell her that I didn't want to talk right now, or I would have ended up blowing
09:50up at her.
09:51A lot of the kids were a little blown away by the amount of exercise they had to do.
09:59Let's go!
10:01Come on!
10:02Come on, keep going!
10:03Tanisha is running.
10:07Let's go, guys! Good job, team!
10:12If you look back less than a year ago, Tanisha was in the gauntlet, and she was struggling and needed
10:19someone beside her to encourage her the whole way.
10:21Get mad! Get angry!
10:24And now she is leading her team running the rest of the way here. It's just, it's huge. It's amazing
10:30to see.
10:34All right!
10:36I think that it's always good to challenge yourself, so it was definitely going to be a challenge for me,
10:41but I was looking forward to it.
10:43You guys are doing awesome. Where did your third team go?
10:46Oh, she bailed!
10:47The last two laps, Tanisha and I just did it on our own because Lindsey was out. Like, she ditched
10:52us.
10:53Tanisha and Sasha are doing phenomenal.
10:55Two more!
10:57They refused to give up, they refused to cut corners, and they're giving it 100% until they're done, and
11:03I think they just finished.
11:04Peace!
11:05High five!
11:07Everyone that's just stuck with it and attempted it has done very well today, so I couldn't be more proud.
11:15Done?
11:15Yeah.
11:17Good job, guys.
11:19Congratulations!
11:22One!
11:23Woo!
11:25Woo!
11:26Woo!
11:27Woo!
11:28You're done!
11:29Yay!
11:30Are you tired?
11:30Yeah.
11:31Really?
11:31Yeah.
11:32Because you can't spell tired without tire!
11:37Oh, yeah.
11:38Nice little joke at the end.
11:41Coach Nicole, ultimate fail for the funny joke.
11:44You can't spell tired without tire.
11:51You can't get tired without having tire!
11:54I was like...
11:57Tire...
11:58PT...
11:59thing.
12:02Coming up...
12:03If you just listen to what you just said about how you did at home, gaining eight pounds is not
12:07what you expect to hear.
12:08But program-wise, you're not doing so great.
12:12Today...
12:13Dine Out Challenge.
12:14We're going to look temptation in the face.
12:16Oh, my God!
12:16I'm shaking!
12:17And later...
12:19Maybe this will be .5.
12:27One!
12:28One!
12:29Go!
12:29Speed and bow!
12:30Speed and bow!
12:31Move!
12:32Move!
12:32Move!
12:32After Thanksgiving break, I found out that Scottie has gained about seven to eight pounds, which is an average a
12:39pound a day.
12:39Gained about seven and a half, eight pounds.
12:42There's no way I gained that much weight in two days.
12:45I didn't want to believe that I had just gained seven and a half pounds.
12:50It was hard to kind of face it.
12:55I was really angry.
12:57I didn't understand.
13:00Push it up.
13:01Push it up.
13:01Good.
13:02Come on.
13:03I thought boxing would be a great way to release your kind of negative energy in a positive way.
13:10Five, four, three, two, last one.
13:17How you doing?
13:19We're good.
13:20All right.
13:21So tell me about your break.
13:22How did it go?
13:24My break was really cool.
13:25I got to go see a movie and hang out with a bunch of my friends.
13:29It was really nice.
13:30Well, how did you do program-wise?
13:32Did you eat right food?
13:33Oh, yeah.
13:34Definitely.
13:34I ate on program.
13:35I went to a gym and ended up actually running four miles every day.
13:40So it was really nice.
13:43If you just listen to what you just said about how you did at home, gaining eight pounds is not
13:47what you expect to hear.
13:49Every time I talk to you, I feel like, oh, I had a good time, blah, blah, blah.
13:53Great.
13:54I great that you had a good time.
13:55But program-wise, you're not doing it to a great way.
13:58I kind of understand what happened.
13:59It obviously has to do with my portion control because other than that, I don't think there's anything else that
14:08could have gone wrong.
14:11Sometimes you cut a lot of slack for yourself.
14:14You know what I mean?
14:14You know you can push even more than you did at home.
14:18You've been here long enough to know the program, and I think knowing you, you have a tendency to sometimes
14:23sugarcoat what went on at home.
14:26Number one step that you need to realize is that sugarcoating things is not going to get you anywhere.
14:32I mean, I could start with just accepting the fact that I have a real big problem with portion controls.
14:41Like, I eat the right foods. I just eat too much of it.
14:46Other than that, there isn't.
14:49Do you understand sometimes you sugarcoat yourself?
14:53Yeah.
14:53Do you agree with that?
14:54Yeah.
14:55What do you think?
14:56I mean, my exercise level, I mean, it, you know, I agree I should do more.
15:03I did like maybe a third of what we do here, if not less.
15:11I know you're committed to knowing the Wellspring plan, but can you commit to act on the Wellspring plan at
15:17home? That's the question.
15:19I think it's true.
15:24It's true.
15:25It's true.
15:25If I work just as hard at home as I did last week, there's no doubt in my mind that
15:28I'm going to be successful.
15:29It starts with small things.
15:31It starts with things like waking up on time.
15:34Once you're able to make those small changes, those are going to fall into big plans.
15:38Okay?
15:45Tanisha's experienced problems with walking and with her feet and ankles most of her life.
16:01Tanisha's ankles tend to want to turn out and she has a lot of pain in her feet and in
16:11her toes that we've been trying to deal with since she came to school.
16:20I have a doctor's appointment today at the podiatrist. I'm getting measured for orthotics.
16:30Orthotics are inserts that are specifically molded through a person's foot and make sure that her weight is being distributed
16:38in all the right portions of her foot.
16:43Now, what I need you to do, I need you to stand on that mat facing in this direction and
16:47stand like you would if you were just standing in place.
16:49I don't want you to think about it.
16:52So far, what this tells me as far as your feet is this is where you put the most weight
16:57when you're standing.
16:59On your left foot you put a lot of weight on the heel. Your right foot is more kind of
17:03in your arch area.
17:04You're a lot heavier on the back of your left foot than the front of your right foot.
17:09So, the orthotics will help with that.
17:12Awesome.
17:13Alright.
17:15You come in, we fit them in your shoes. You'll start out one hour the first day, two hours a
17:21second. You're going to have to build up gradually.
17:25They're going to help a lot with the pain I've been having in my toes and in my feet. And
17:32I'm so excited.
17:39Today, Dine Out Challenge. Misha, Carson, and other people and I are going to Twin Dragons for lunch.
17:51I think the Dining Out Challenge is a really good learning experience for the kids because it shows them what
17:58the real world is going to be like.
18:00In particular, I know Scott has had some problems in the past with conquering his Chinese buffet issues.
18:08I didn't eat on the program at all.
18:11I don't think it's going to be too hard. I mean, I know what I can and can't have.
18:16I have some good tariyaki.
18:19Chicken quesadillas.
18:22Roasted chicken.
18:26I really hope he's going to take charge this time.
18:31During a Dine Out Challenge, the responsibility is put into the hands of the students.
18:36They're going to have to decide whether they want to order the buffet, which might be foods that are all
18:40very high in fat,
18:41or to order from the menu where they have a little bit more control over how the food is prepared
18:46and likely to get items that are a little bit more on program.
18:50I'm going to show them just how few things you can eat off the buffet.
18:54I found one that I want.
18:56Egg drop soup.
18:58Oh, watch out for that.
19:00You want to come up there and look at it with me? I'll show you.
19:02We're going to look temptation in the face. We're doing a little tour of the buffet.
19:09Walking around the buffet, I was tempted.
19:14We're going to go look at the egg drop soup.
19:16Miss Heather and Miss Sam weren't here.
19:19I probably would have ordered something that was bad, like that egg drop soup.
19:22I was all for that.
19:25Not anymore.
19:26I haven't had some of this in a long time, actually.
19:30I did really like Chinese food.
19:33When I look at it, I'm still like, that looks really good.
19:37It's like a dessert aisle, and there's like cookies and cakes and stuff.
19:42Oh my god, stop shaking.
19:44It's a cookie, like chill.
19:46No.
19:48Coming up.
19:49Lead the way, Scotty.
19:51Self-control is all it comes down to.
19:55And later.
19:56I will kill anybody who throws a snowball at me.
20:07That looks delicious, but it's all good.
20:09No kidding.
20:11Really good, but really terrible for me.
20:14Lead the way, Scotty.
20:20Self-control is all it comes down to.
20:30Can I have the steamed chicken with broccoli, and please make sure there's no butter or oil?
20:37Can I have the steamed chicken with broccoli with no butter or oil?
20:40Um, so can I please get a foodish personal life without oil and butter, correct?
20:45The steamed.
20:48Steamed chicken with mixed vegetables.
20:50With no oil or butter.
20:52The steamed chicken with broccoli.
20:54Steamed?
20:54Yeah.
20:55All steamed.
21:02I mean, there's a lot of stuff there that I could have chosen.
21:05I could have chosen to get the buffet and eat whatever I wanted.
21:10I could have chosen to get some fried chicken and whatever.
21:15But instead I chose to get steamed chicken and some steamed shrimp.
21:20How do you make these?
21:21Like, how do you guys prepare these?
21:22Is there any, like, oils or anything in it?
21:24No?
21:25Okay.
21:26I knew how it had to be prepared, so I just asked for it all steamed.
21:30I would like it steamed if that's okay.
21:32Okay.
21:36Looks pretty good.
21:39Scotty was the first person to actually separate the meats to see the serving sizes.
21:45Right now I'm going to get all the meat out and I'm going to separate it.
21:48He got a bit more than a serving on chicken and meats and stuff.
21:53So, you know, he only ate when serving and then put the rest away.
21:56Just a couple pieces of chicken.
21:58Some carrots, a little bit of baby corn, and some shrimp.
22:03Scott, overall, did a really great job.
22:05He took leadership skills, he took initiative, and so I really think that in the future he can take charge.
22:14The best thing about the diet challenge is the fact that when I went there I got to kind of
22:18redeem myself of, you know, the last time.
22:20It was, it was a good feeling.
22:23What did you get?
22:24It says you are heading in the right direction.
22:26All your hard work will soon pay.
22:38We woke up and it had snowed.
22:43I hate the snow.
22:45Me personally, not a fan of the snow.
22:50The snow is cold, and it's horrible, and it's awful.
22:54I just don't want to be out here.
22:58I have to focus on my feet right now.
23:00Okay.
23:01What do you think?
23:01Do you think?
23:02Not if I start slipping before I even put my foot weight on it.
23:07You guys have had a rough last couple weeks.
23:11I'm sure of it.
23:12It's too much.
23:14And like, I'm going crazy.
23:16It's been pretty intense, lots of tension.
23:20You gotta watch your language.
23:22Shut the up and leave us alone.
23:24Man.
23:25Lots of high emotion.
23:27Haley.
23:28Seriously not going.
23:29Aw.
23:31So, our goal is to work on some team building and some communication.
23:38The reason we want to do this.
23:40You guys, most of you are starting to leave by Thursday of next week.
23:46Some people are going to be gone by Thursday or Friday and aren't coming back.
23:50For the last couple months, this has been our community.
23:53And it is about to change pretty drastically.
23:56So, this is a chance for you guys to look around at each other and as maybe as frustrated and
24:03angry and ready to get out of here as you are,
24:06think about all of the good moments you've had with each other.
24:09Think about that this is the team that's been supporting you.
24:12These people around you know what you're going through better than anyone else in your life.
24:21The three weeks in between holidays, they've just been crazy.
24:25Everyone's really on edge with each other and everyone's snapping, blowing up easily.
24:29I wanted to get them out doing something kind of playful and silly, but that would also make them think
24:34about how they talk to each other.
24:36If you feel like you physically are unable to participate, or if you are unwilling to join in and be
24:42open-minded and support your group, this is your choice.
24:45I'm still at a weight where if I fall, I'll have to go to the hospital.
24:50Whoa!
24:51So with the snow, it's just like a death trap waiting to happen.
24:55It's alright, you're fine.
24:58I don't feel stable while I'm standing on snow and I really don't want to slip.
25:04I feel like it would be best to just not participate and not risk a trip to the hospital.
25:10They want us to do like team building skills.
25:12Like, are you kidding me? It's freaking negative three degrees. It was mad cold.
25:16And I skipped out. I just came up here and chills in the classroom.
25:19So, here's what we're going to do.
25:22We're going to split off into pairs.
25:24We're going to have one person blindfolded.
25:26What?
25:27And one person directing them where to go.
25:30You've got to kind of get out on your hands and knees, blindfolded,
25:33and you have to pick up a squeaky toy and throw it.
25:37And it's kind of like a game of dodgeball where you're blind.
25:39Are you ready to begin?
25:40Yes!
25:40Yes!
25:41Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!
25:43To the right! To the right! No!
25:44We had to direct our partner who was blindfolded to these little squishy balls and then have them throw them
25:52at a different person.
25:53And my partner was lovely Ben.
25:55Ben! I'm going to be to the right!
25:59And I'm going to be to the right!
26:01To the left!
26:01To the left!
26:01To the right!
26:03To the left!
26:04Turn around!
26:05Right there!
26:06Right on the right foot!
26:07Run!
26:12That was awesome, Zigzy!
26:15That was so funny!
26:16My stomach hurts so bad!
26:19My fingers are not!
26:21Oh, man !
26:24C'est vraiment fun, je ne vais pas être pas malheureux.
26:27C'est très bien.
26:29Hey !
26:31Le show a beaucoup de fun.
27:02Oh !
27:03C'est un gros à l'air.
27:05Oh !
27:06C'est un gros à l'air.
27:07C'est un gros à l'air !
27:10C'est un gros à l'air !
27:12C'est un gros à l'air !

31:05on the ground which last year Tanisha had a pretty bad run in with.
31:14It's definitely something that is a concern for all of our students.
31:19We don't want any of them to slip and fall.
31:22On your marks!
31:25Get set!
31:30Go!
31:35This is my final time mile at Wellspring and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm going to try and
31:39go as hard as I can.
31:50Good job! Less than a minute!
31:54I am very excited about this being our final time run.
31:59I do have a history of falling.
32:00I'm going through the finish!
32:02Good job! Good pace! Good pace!
32:07But I'm just going to try to avoid the ice.
32:15Some of the kids have taken off. They're running. They're doing great.
32:18Others have let the cold get to their heads.
32:20So they're walking which makes no sense to me because if you run, you warm up.
32:34I just want to point out that you've been complaining about not losing weight and maintaining.
32:41And we have a one mile to run and you're walking it.
32:44I just want you to put yourself in check right now. Think about it.
32:48Run!
32:50Sasha didn't try at her time mile at all.
32:55She just walked and, you know, you're not giving the effort so you're not going to see the results.
33:11Come on, push! Push!
33:13Yeah, this is Carson's last lap and she's breaking the fall.
33:16Push it! Push it! Push it!
33:23You're going to be under nine! Come on, push!
33:26Go, go, go, go, go!
33:27All the way to the finish!
33:31Carson really pushed herself in her time mile.
33:34She ran really hard and she knocked a lot of time off her last time mile.
33:39I'm tired. My nose burned.
33:51Emily's come a very far away since she first arrived here at Wellspring.
33:55It's so hard to just adjust to the surroundings.
33:59But that you're family!
34:02Her final time mile was eight minutes and 45 seconds, which is a huge improvement off of her 16-minute
34:10mile when she first arrived at Wellspring.
34:13I'm really happy. That was awesome.
34:14So it's a great accomplishment.
34:19Scotty has got one lap left. This is his final lap.
34:25One last lap, Scotty! You're doing great, man!
34:27Thank you, Scotty! Good job!
34:30When you look at Scotty at the end of this semester versus Scotty last year, you just see that he's
34:37grown a lot instead of just taking the easy way out like he sometimes did last year.
34:41Yeah, I'm going to save my energy to the last part of the course.
34:52Finish line to make sure!
34:54I feel amazing.
34:56I've covered my all-time more than half.
35:01Let's go, T! Finish strong!
35:03Come on! You're almost here! Push yourself! You got this!
35:06Watch out for the ice!
35:07Woo! Come on, T! All the way through the field!
35:13$15.50!
35:15You're nowhere!
35:17You knocked like five minutes off your time.
35:21She's just amazing. She's come such a far way.
35:31Me and David get along somewhat well.
35:33Who are you talking to?
35:34You! That's who I'm talking to.
35:36You better watch it, Gus.
35:38Everyone has their ups and downs.
35:41Oh, watch it when you actually do something. Come on.
35:43You better watch your f***ing language.
35:47He's got two left, right? David?
35:50His size is great.
35:53Come on, David. You got it, bro.
35:55Way to go, Scotty.
35:56Good job, Scotty!
35:58Come on, David. Keep it up.
35:59Not only did Scotty do a great job on his own time mile,
36:03but once he finished, he actually went back
36:05and helped encourage David to finish his off strong.
36:09Let's finish this together.
36:10Like brothers. You got it?
36:14I felt, after the entire challenge,
36:18I thought we hated each other.
36:20and then he came back to help me, so I'm like, wow.
36:23Good job, David. Last lap.
36:25I told David, he reminded me of me when I first did my mile.
36:30Come on, David. Come on.
36:32He wanted to do it, but he didn't think he could.
36:34You know what we're going to do? What?
36:36We're going to sprint to the end. Can you do it?
36:38Yeah. All right, let's do it.
36:40Come on. It was great to have Scotty there and help me get through it.
36:45Come on, everything you got. Everything you got. Come on.
36:48Come on. It's right through country school. It's right through country school.
36:52I came back and I helped him finish.
36:56And that's amazing.
36:58You got it, man.
37:00You did it.
37:04Two more? Yeah.
37:06Two more after this?
37:07From here on, you have to pass me two more times.
37:10Two laps.
37:14There's two students that are still doing their miles, Sasha and Mike,
37:17and no one can go in until they finish.
37:20Come on. He's last.
37:21Come on. Yes, it is.
37:23Please go. Please go.
37:26I did not care that everyone else was cold.
37:28Shoot, I was cold. We were all cold together. They'll get over it.
37:33Come on, Sasha.
37:34Stop!
37:35Run!
37:39Sasha, you're done.
37:42What's my time?
37:4322.37.
37:45It's a little disappointing to see that Sasha skipped out on her time mile today.
37:51My time was 22.22.
37:53No.
37:55But hopefully she'll come around.
38:05I'm nervous and I just want to get it over with.
38:07I feel like I really didn't get in that much activity this weekend in general, so that makes me nervous.
38:12We were supposed to do our time mile, but I was sick that day, so I was in bed so
38:17I didn't end up doing it.
38:20How's it going?
38:25How's it going?
38:26Ely, you lost six pounds.
38:29And?
38:30Pretty cool. You're in the 300s.
38:33Congratulations.
38:47Three and a half. Gained.
38:53This sucks.
38:54Carson had a weight gain this week.
38:56I'm sure that's a helpful component to her to know that she's still got more to do and hopefully gives
39:02her an increased support for her decision to stick it out and tough out another semester here at Wellspring.
39:12Good morning.
39:13Good morning, David.
39:21Five and a half. Good job.
39:23Yeah!
39:26Yeah, almost five and a half. I'm freaking amazed.
39:30I didn't really work out that much because it was snowy and rainy and stuff, so I didn't really push
39:35it, I guess.
39:38Sasha didn't try at her time mile at all.
39:41You know, you're not giving the effort, so you're not going to see the results.
39:46What was I last week? I just need to know.
39:49187.
39:50Maybe this will be .5.
39:54Ooh.
39:56Okay, so it's a gain of half a pound.
39:58No!
39:59This sucks, Miss Heather.
40:01I know.
40:01I want to go home.
40:03Sasha seemed pretty upset by a half a pound weight gain this week.
40:08To me, it's evidence that she's got some more work with her thinking.
40:12It would be helpful for her to work at utilizing some frustration as motivation.
40:17Sucks .
40:27All right, you lost one pound.
40:29Yes. I lost . I'm happy.
40:34Today's Emily's last Monday weigh-in. She'll get one more right before she leaves.
40:38She seemed pretty happy with her weight loss.
40:43Losing now is just a big thing for me, so I'm really happy.
40:45She wants another.
40:52So, that's seven pounds.
40:56Sasha really put in a lot of effort, though, this week, so the results are pretty much always going to
41:00be there if you put in that work.
41:05I've changed a lot. I've started trying a lot harder than I was. I'm starting to take pride in what
41:12I've done.
41:16How do you make these? Is there any, like, oils or anything in it?
41:19Um, I know.
41:20I feel amazing. I've cut my mouth out more than half.
41:23Let's finish this together. Like brothers. You got it? Let's do this.
41:33So, that. Ten and a half pounds.
41:36Sweet.
41:38This week, I just tried a lot harder. Like, I pushed myself, so I'm feeling amazing.
41:47On the next episode of Too Fat for 15, Fighting Back.
41:51I'm so excited. I can't wait to go home for good.
41:55I want to leave, because then I get to go home and see my friends and my family.
41:59Where'd Sasha go?
42:01If you do not come today, you fail the class and cannot make it up.
42:05So, we got to look at what bullying really is.
42:09And there's this girl. She just comes up behind me and goes,
42:12I hear your brother's going to die.
42:13He just started saying my mom was fat, and that was why I was fat, and we were both going
42:17to die.
42:20And that's what I don't know.
42:22There's a whole lot of людей.
42:31Say.
42:39I'm able to love you.
42:39I love you.
42:43Love you coming out.
42:47Now I know.
