Watch this incredible clip where an osprey dives into the ocean to catch a fish before swimming all the way back to shore with its catch.
Caleb Whitehorn from Clinton Township, Michigan, USA, recorded the unusual wildlife moment at Dana Point Strands Beach in California, where the bird of prey could be seen struggling through the water after successfully catching a fish in the surf.
Despite the waves, the osprey calmly paddled toward the shoreline while beachgoers watched from a safe distance.
One user commented: “I’m glad everyone kept their distance. I’ve seen people go towards it, forcing the bird to fly off leaving the catch.”
Another user commented: “A few times while surf fishing, I witnessed Ospreys flying over the beach in search for food. Nature at its best!”
