00:00I mean I'm a bit sad to be honest Sophie because I'm sad that we're in this
00:02situation in the first place I'm sad about the election results last
00:06Thursday when we lost many brilliant colleagues across the country some of
00:09whom had served their local communities for many decades so I'm sad that my team
00:14my party has ended up with a poor set of results and I'm sad that a number of
00:18colleagues yesterday have felt the need to have this conversation in public as
00:23opposed to internally within the within the party so I am a bit sad about that
00:27to be honest but but I'm also optimistic about the future because we still we've
00:31only been in government now for less than two years we had a very significant
00:34mandates at the last election to deliver on our manifesto commitments and whilst
00:38we face many challenges in the world not least on the economy and living
00:41standards because of what's happening in the Middle East and what's going on
00:44around the world I'm still optimistic about Britain's potential to succeed and
00:48to rise to those challenges and we've got about three years left before the next
00:52general election
