01:25A few years before I became a Trooper, I was living out of state, making a run at professional
01:29fighting, and ultimately decided to stay here in Alaska and applied to the State Troopers.
01:36The last four years have been with the criminal suppression unit as a K-9 handler with K-9 Kenny.

05:19We have a pretty large area that we patrol and we only have so many troopers working each

05:29That's one of the cool things about this job is you do have a decent amount of freedom
05:33to kind of focus on what you like to do in the job.
05:37So a lot of what I like to do is try to look for people with warrants, look for drugs,

05:42to locate these people and get them off the street and letting the justice system kind
05:46of take over.

11:20you just never know how motivated someone will be
11:22to not go to jail.
11:23we could see that she's hiding under a cupboard underneath the sink we kept
11:27giving her command she wouldn't come out she wouldn't come out warned her a few
11:30times then ended up pepper ball in the cupboard ultimately she ended up
11:33opening the doors the entire room is full of pepper ball so we went in and put
11:36her in handcuffs and now she's going to jail
12:06appears to be two cars stopped somebody's got a gun and there's a lot of screaming going on
12:10sounds like maybe somebody got upset for what happened on the road and forced the other driver
12:15to stop it does sound like someone at least brandished a firearm a lot of people carry
12:20some kind of weapon when they're out in the outdoors so we routinely deal with people who
12:26are armed they pointed the gun at the complainant that would probably be a felony assault we've got
12:37eyes on the suspects driveway so we'll see how this goes

14:26those secured we had the report uh basically road rage kind of incident that uh resulted in one
14:32person pulling a gun on the other interviewed him and he's corroborated the whole story he was
14:36pointing the gun at the vehicle with multiple people in it so it's uh it's not looking good for
14:40him he's probably going to go to jail today there's three guns not two he said it was the nine
14:44millimeter which one which one oh there was three in there i'm so sorry yeah uh the pink one and

14:54black one and like one in each hand uh yeah he said i talked with my hands it might have

15:00towards them but i kept the barrel towards the ground well that's a problem for him i i agree i
15:05think he's he's probably good to go for the a3 yeah i'd agree right now you're being placed under arrest
15:10for five counts of assault in the third degree okay because there are five people in that car right
15:13a couple kids right that's so assault yeah for what for pointing a gun at them he definitely took
15:20some steps to kind of further escalate the situation we don't want drivers confronting each
15:25other especially if they are armed with handguns it's much better to just call us make a report of
15:32the situation it's much safer for everybody so we would much rather see people do that
15:53i'm trooper parker with the last state troopers the last hour of day shift is usually your busiest
15:59people are getting off of work people are waking up that usually results into multiple interesting

27:56Got a report last night that there was a gentleman shooting at some people at the ballpark.
28:02So we're headed out first thing this morning to go and investigate.
28:08We have the TPO out there, which is the tribal police officer.
28:11And he was the one that actually reported to us this possible shooting.
28:18The report I got, he was shooting at two of the individuals in the village.
28:23Incredibly intoxicated last night.
28:24When I went to pick up the brass in front of his house, I could hear him still drunk screaming
28:28inside.

28:32I know from experience around here, if I don't get evidence from the crime scene,
28:37I'm pretty much immediately, it's going to be gone.
28:40I've been told that someone had taken the gun away from him.

30:24uh, that a crime happened,
30:26people will not tell you about it,

30:40And he handles the vast majority

35:16So Trooper Wright with wildlife went to go out there and check to see if anyone was out there.
35:21He spotted a guy on a four-wheeler.
35:23The mail took off, and the guy who was later identified as the subject with the felony warrant.
35:29Right now we're going to meet up with the other troopers.
35:33We got myself, another blue shirt trooper, and then three wildlife troopers bringing their four-wheelers in.
