01:12So when I first booked JAG, I knew nothing about the military.
01:15I didn't grow up in a military family.
01:16So it was a lot that I had to learn.
01:19We went down to Camp Pendleton for several days and spent some time with Marines.
01:23Did a little mini boot camp.
01:24You know, they kind of had me see if I could do pull-ups and all the stuff that you're
01:28supposed
01:28to do as a Marine.
01:29Yeah.
01:30I just learned as much as I could to try to represent that character and a Marine as truthfully as
01:36I could.
01:40Yeah, for sure.
01:42I think one of my favorite episodes was called 4% Solution and my character had been in a
01:49car accident.
01:50It was discovered that she wasn't able to have children and very, very rough childhood with
01:55her father and abuse and alcoholism.
01:57It was like all of that came out in a very intense emotional episode with a psychiatrist
02:02and that was probably one of my favorite episodes to do.
02:11Yeah, I think, you know, Don Bellisario created JAG and he's Magnum PI, Quantum Leap,
02:16all these amazing shows.
02:18And his characters have a lot of integrity.
02:20He was a Marine and so he had a lot of Marines as his stars and it was important to
02:26honor that uniform and the respect and the integrity that those people have.
02:31So that was kind of a really important part of our show.

02:39I feel like I always want to learn whether it's a new instrument, a new language, travel,
02:45reading books.
02:46I'm reading a book about longevity by this amazing doctor, Peter Atiyah.
02:50I'm so fascinated by life and the human body and the people and, you know, just like all
