00:00What do you hope to get out of the summit in China and how much has the war in Iran
00:04changed the agenda?
00:06Look, I have a great relationship with President Xi. We're doing a lot of business, but it's smart business.
00:10We used to be taking advantage of for years with our previous presidents, and now we're doing great with China.
00:17We make a lot of money with China. I have a great relationship with President Xi.
00:21And I think you can see that with the fact that in Hormuz, they get a big percentage, 40%
00:27of their oil from Hormuz.
00:29There's been no ships coming in, no nasty ships coming in that we end up in skirmishes with.
00:37He'd like to see it get done. He doesn't want to see it. I'll tell you what.
00:40Look, I respect him a lot, and hopefully he respects me.
00:44I didn't respect our previous government, that is citizens of the United States.
00:48They're people that have been captured in some form, ministers.
00:53And I bring up Jimmy Lai.
00:56Now, Jimmy Lai, you know, it caused a lot of bedlam, you know, I don't know.
01:01It's like saying to me, if Comey ever went to jail, would you let him out?
01:10That's, it might be a hard one for me. Does that make sense?
01:13It might be hard, you know, because he's a dirty cop.
01:16But Jimmy Lai isn't that way. But Jimmy Lai, he caused lots of turmoil for China.
01:24He tried to do the right thing. He wasn't successful.
01:27Went to jail, and people would like him out, and I'd like to see him get out, too.
01:31So I'll bring him up again. I have brought him up.
01:34And there's another gentleman, a pastor, as you know, with a beautiful daughter and son-in-law that would like
01:41to see him get out.
01:42I'm going to bring his name up.
01:43Mr. President, where about Taiwan?
01:46Taiwan. I equated a little bit to that.
01:50If you have the right president, I don't think it'll happen.
01:52I think we'll be fine.
01:53I have a very good relationship with President Xi.
01:56He knows I don't want that to happen.
01:59Very far away. Very, very far away.
02:01Went just at 9,500 miles.
02:05You know, we're 9,500 miles.
02:07He's 67 miles.
02:10It's a little bit of a difference.
02:12But, you know, there's a lot of support for Taiwan from Japan and from countries from that area.
02:19Do you think we should still be selling them weapons?
02:21The United States should be selling them weapons?
02:22Well, I'm going to have that discussion with President Xi.
02:25President Xi would like us not to.
02:27And I'll have that discussion.
02:29That's one of the many things I'll be talking about.
02:32We'll have a, you know, he and I have gotten along well.
02:34Other than with COVID, you know, I was not, I was just not accepting of what happened with COVID.
02:42But other than that, he and I have had, he's a great gentleman.
02:46I find him to be an amazing, an amazing man.
02:50And when I say that, the press always says, oh, that's terrible that he calls it.
02:54You know, he runs 1.4 billion people with a pretty iron fist.
03:01He's, he loves his country, I can tell you that, President Xi.
03:04I look forward to being there.
03:06And if he felt anything, we wouldn't, we wouldn't be doing it.
03:10But a lot of good things can happen.
03:12You know, we'll be talking about, I mean, he'll bring up Taiwan, I think, more than I will.
03:17But I think that a discussion will be a little bit about, a little bit about energy and about the
03:27very beautiful country of Iran.
03:29Ever in history.
03:31And we're going to continue to do so.
03:33This is, look at the people up here, they're all like.
