00:00There's only two types of people in the world
00:04The ones that entertain and the ones that observe
00:08Well baby I put on a show kind of girl
00:12Don't make the backseat
00:15From the deal countryside to the runways of LA
00:1919 year old Charlie has spent the majority of her life in full glam
00:23And now she'll represent the UK in a coveted international beauty pageant
00:29I've been competing in beauty pageants for 13 years now
00:32And the current one I'm doing now is called Miss Charm
00:35I'm the current Miss Charm United Kingdom
00:37And I'll be heading over to Vietnam at the end of the year to compete for the Miss Charm title
00:41I love it, I've been to so many different cities and countries
00:44It's been insane and I've met so many people
00:47I'm still in contact with girls internationally
00:49I think for Vietnam we're going to need
00:51I think we worked out to be like 90 outfits that we're going to need
00:54Which is probably too much but you can never have too many outfits
00:57I'd rather have too many than not enough
00:59Because then otherwise you start to panic if you don't have enough outfits
01:02As well as an incredible wardrobe
01:04Judges look at poise, interview confidence and work for charity
01:08I've raised for quite a few charities including Together for Short Lives, Copperfeel, Mind Mental Health Charity
01:15I've raised about over £40,000 for charity in the past
01:18Well 13 years I've been doing pageants now
01:20I think a lot of people judge it wrong
01:23I think they all think it's about looks and it's about your weight
01:27Or how tall you are or how petite you are
01:30But it's not about that
01:31You can build so much confidence from pageants
01:34From being like a little girl to now
01:36There is a lot of jealousy that comes with it, especially online
01:39But you just kind of have to push that to the side and be like
01:41This is a massive achievement of what I'm doing
01:44And now I look back at that and I think
01:46Well, look where you are, look where I am, like, you know
01:49But how do you train for something like this?
01:51So what does it take to become a pageant queen?
01:53Okay, so first you need to work on your walk and your poses
01:56Because they are key for on stage
01:58So obviously when you did the T pose at the start
02:01And then when you're walking maybe add a little bit of hip
02:03A bit of like, you know, fun
02:05When you get to the middle, same pose
02:07And then if you want to go into the side pose
02:09Your front leg, you can just go to the side and put all your weight onto that leg
02:13And then that foot you can put, like, on a point
02:16I decided to give it a go
02:21I think I'll leave the strutting to Charlie
02:24Chloe Brewster for KMTV, in deal
